Hotels in People's Square&Haining Railway Station, Haining

I was on a business trip. I left my backpack with Apple laptop, cash in multiple currencies, passport, handphone in it on the side of the street in front of the hotel, where the Didi pick up was.  I realised this only upon arrival of Hangzhou Airport (1 hour+ drive from the hotel). Immediately call the hotel FO and he managed to get it back from the street and safekeeping it until another Didi pick up and send to me in airport. If any management member see this post, please praise the FO. The incident was on 21/1/2025 around 8am. 

The hotel is close to the Nanguanxiang Historical and Cultural District, with convenient transportation and complete living facilities. The hotel rooms are clean and sanitary, and there is a water dispenser in the lobby, which is very considerate. The front desk staff is friendly and attentive, and the considerate service adds points. Opposite Yixiang Village is a must-eat restaurant on Dianping.com, where you can eat delicious authentic Haining cuisine.

Room 808, the family room, was excellent. It's an L-shaped room with windows on two sides, so it's super bright when the curtains are open. There's also a large desk, and the bathroom is a separate, private space, unlike some hotels where it's only separated from the room by a frosted glass wall, which can be a bit awkward when traveling with older kids.

The room is clean and tidy, with an antique view of the old street outside the window. What's surprising is that disposable bath towels and towels are also provided. The noodles for breakfast are surprising, very chewy and delicious, served with a poached egg, nutritious and delicious. The baby finished a full bowl. My child forgot to bring his homework, so the boss lady printed it for us.

Price and location is good . Furniture is a little bit old but still it is okay for this price

I came to Haining to book a newly opened Hanting, as if it was newly opened in early August. When I booked it, 5 people commented. Location: Very close to the train station, about 600 meters walk, so it is convenient to go to any attraction. Especially to Yanguancheng, many bus tour lines start from the train station. Walk about 700 meters to Haining Museum. So it is very convenient to go shopping in the city and see the tide. Hygienic: Very good, water and air conditioning are very sufficient, it has to be a new store. Sound insulation: If the sound insulation can be improved, it would be great. Some room types have windowsills that are external public corridors. The children next door run in the room at night and laugh very clearly.

The location is great, right next to Haining Station, and very close to Haining Museum and Xishan Park—within walking distance. There are also plenty of food and takeout options. However! Hygiene: There was a strong odor as soon as I entered, and even after opening the window for a long time, a slight smell remained. Environment: The soundproofing is incredibly poor; I could hear everything from the next room clearly. My room faced a facility room that looked like a staff passageway, and the creaking noise of staff going in and out woke me up at 7 am the next morning. Around 8 or 9 am, the sounds of cleaning and conversation from the next room were also very clear. Facilities: The facilities are old and outdated, only standard amenities, and not very functional. The hotel elevator is clearly quite old, and the trash cans outside are overflowing and haven't been emptied—public hygiene is a problem. Service: Average. The staff have a strong work ethic and aren't exactly known for their smiling service, but they can meet basic needs. In summary, it's an ordinary hotel in a county town, but it falls short of expectations for a Hanting hotel. This price is significantly higher than surrounding hotels and guesthouses, but whether the accommodation experience is better is another question, as I didn't stay anywhere else. Overall, if you're traveling from Haining Station, it's okay to stay one night, but not longer.

The room is very large and clean, the price is very affordable, like the whole season, it is really cost-effective in a small city. The little brother at the front desk recommended the delicious Zhangjia casserole, which is delicious and not expensive, and the young lady at the front desk is also very considerate.
