Great value for money, super clean, comforable bed, beautiful river view from hotel room. Need to specific mention this hotel have very amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. (We left a wifi egg with charger behind and they gave it to us immediately when we check out!!) Walking distance to eateries and river cruise at the pier. Stay for 2 nights in this hotel, just a bit disappointed coz can't go to the rooftop bar due to events on both nights. Also need to mention elderly need to be very careful when using the shower room of the hotel coz their floor are made of marble. It can be a bit slippery. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and will come back next time. We had a wonderful time here, thank you very much.

It is a wonderful option to stay in Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located a few meters from the pedestrian street and that gives it a privileged location to move around on foot. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am and there are good Chinese and Western menu options. Just note that it is no longer a hotel operated by Holliday inn but is now called Voco.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

First of all, I would like to praise all the service staff, especially the duty manager Peter, who communicated with me about the housing needs before my mother and I checked in, fully understood the core needs of the residents, and made arrangements that moved the customers. It was very considerate. The hotel has a great location and the decoration is elegant and dignified. We are traveling. The station in front of the hotel is connected in all directions. We can reach many famous attractions without even needing a subway. The room is designed according to the specifications of a hotel apartment, and is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine. I live in a suite, and the washing machine has a drying function. In Guangzhou, which is hot and hot, it is very convenient for me, who has to wash and dry clothes every day. The hairdryer is from Dyson, and the room is thoughtfully equipped with electric mosquito coils and a steam ironing machine. You can feel that the staff want to make guests feel at home. There are plenty of USB charging sockets in the room, which is convenient and user-friendly. There is PILLOW MENU where you can choose the pillow that suits you. The housekeeping staff even found out that I drink coffee every day, so they put some extra coffee capsules in the bag so that I could drink it with peace of mind😀 Although the hotel's catering is not yet complete, the scenery is almost non-existent, and the young service staff's response is a bit ****y. But you can feel the attitude of the other party trying to provide good service. Fabulous historic hotel in the center of the beautiful YueXiu district. Rooms are huge, staff is efficient, speaks English, and very polite. Rooms have high ceilings, huge windows and very well decorated in a classic but super comfortable classical China style. Yuexiu Park metro station is 5 min walk, and next door is a Starbucks and McDonalds. Across the street is a new mall with lots of Chinese restaurants. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from Guangzhou’s famous clothing wholesale markets. Hotel lobby is huge and totally fabulous! Staying here makes you feel like you are living a life of luxury, but still at a reasonable price. One thing I would tell the staff to improve : showers need to be scrubbed better because any mold in the shower is unacceptable, even a little. This is a common problem in China, different standards than western cultures I guess. Otherwise, this is the place to stay. Standard Rooms here are a lot larger than at the China Hotel next door, and usually rooms rates for both properties are similar. Why not stay at Dong Fang and get a nicer room for the same price ?

My stay was pleasant . Location is excellent this best point for me. Room also very good. Breakfast not so much. They could do a simple fried egg one side cooked neither have some bacon . Toaster also was not working properly so wasted a lot of time making a toast . After 5 days trip this became very tyring. It’s more of a Chinese type of breakfast which is a bit of a shame. Nevertheless I rate hotel with a 4. It’s pretty good option . I will return I think.

It's not far from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Beijing Road, but it's not close either. It is recommended to stay near the subway when taking children.

The hotel room and walkway llooks to be very new ,probably just done major renovation. Rooms are very spacious, we can open up 2 x big luggages and there is still plenty of room to walk. The metro is a 5 mins walk in front of the hotel. Around the both corners there are plenty of nice cantonese restaurant at very reasonable price open past 10pm. Level 7 is massage center that is very reasonable and we had a good massage. Will definitely come back again.

9 of us stayed the property for 9N10D in 6 rooms. Though it's amenities area no where near a full fledged hotel, the stay was pleasant with very helpful and friendly front desk. Rooms were neat and tidy albeit dated. It's value for money. Walking distance to zhujiang Riverside, 2 metro and a walking street.
