Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou

This hotel has a rich history and is ideally located right by the river. Parking is convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It's just a short walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, where you'll find famous restaurants like Guangzhou Restaurant and Tao Tao Ju. Tianzi Wharf is also close by, making a night cruise on the Pearl River an excellent choice for the evening.

Let's start with the positives: The location is convenient, just a four to five-minute walk to Haizhu Square subway station and about a fifteen-minute walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. You can even see the Canton Tower from the room. The staff provided excellent service, helping me receive and store a package, which I really appreciated. However, there are areas that I feel need improvement. In this day and age, as a four-star hotel, the room facilities are quite outdated. There's no voice control whatsoever; everything has to be done manually. The breakfast was very limited and the taste was just average. There were no Guangzhou-specific breakfast options.

I'm Xiao Huang from Singapore. The room is beautiful, perhaps newly renovated, and the service is excellent. Three staff members, Xiao Feng, Xiao Fei, and Xiao Shi, were particularly great – I have to give them a thumbs up! The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Beijing Road, and close to Haizhu Metro Plaza.

This time, my room had a beautiful view of Canton Tower. I booked the Huazun room, which was spacious and very comfortable. The transportation is super convenient, really close to a 7-11, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. It's also very close to Beijing Road. I'll definitely choose Huaxia Hotel again next time!

The hotel is a bit old and the facilities are dated. The service isn't great, but its location is excellent. It's close to the subway, making it convenient for getting around, and it's near the muddy Pearl River, so you can see its murky waters.

This stay at the Guangzhou Huaxia Hotel's 'Zhenpin' (Premium) room was fantastic! It's been completely renovated and looks brand new, with many added features and facilities. They've smartly separated the washbasin area, toilet, and shower into three independent spaces, which is brilliant because it prevents guests from bothering each other and caters to everyone's needs. There's also a dressing table, perfect for women to do their makeup and skincare. Plus, the shower now has a stone bench, which is incredibly thoughtful for guests with mobility issues, allowing them to shower safely without slipping. Absolutely wonderful!

Because my overall experience on the first day was quite good, I extended my stay for another night in the same room. Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Haizhu Square Station. Exit F is the closest to the hotel (the red circle in picture 1). As soon as you exit, you'll see the hotel standing directly across the street. It's only about a 200-300 meter walk, making it very convenient for getting around. Beijing Road, Sacred Heart Cathedral, and the Guangdong Customs Museum are all about a kilometer's walk away. Just note that some attractions close for lunch. If you want to go to Wanguo, it's just two stops by subway to Jiangnanxi.
