Hotels near National Government Former Site in Guangzhou

Pros: location was great, about 10-15 mins walk to Beijing Pedestrian Street for shopping. The popular Guangzhou Restaurant chain has a location in the building next door on the 5th floor. Hotel breakfast was decent, with a combination of Chinese and some western dishes. Hotel room was clean and spacious. Cons: the sink in the hotel room leaked water all over the floor so the hotel moved us to another room on the same floor. We stayed for 2 nights - someone rang our doorbell at around 11+pm the first night, and no one responded when we asked. On the second night, someone rang our doorbell about 3 times, around 11+pm, 12+am and 4/5am, which was disconcerting and a major disturbance when we were trying to sleep. We provided feedback to the hotel when we checked out, hopefully the hotel will enhance the hotel security.

It’s really convenient. When you get downstairs, you’ll find Beijing Road Pedestrian Street across the street. You can buy, buy or eat everything nearby. The hotel provides free parking, but it’s not in the same building. You can park it in the Jiedeng Metropolis parking lot behind it. , it’s not far to walk here, it’s highly recommended if you come here to play!

This is my first time to stay in One&One, even though I've been staying in other hotel management from the same building with different floor. As a frequent traveller, my highest priority will be location and cleanliness. Location: 5 out of 5 (3 minutes walk from subway station, lots of restaurants around the area, shopping area, Pekking Street) Cleanliness: 3 out of 5 (some hair observed from the floor) Highly recommended for this hotel for both business and leisure oriented visitors.

Residents with registered residence in this province and city, change their environment for a short time during the Spring Festival, and re-experience and get to know this city where they have lived for decades as a tourist. The room is 5 stars. I stayed in a comfort twin room. Newly renovated in 2018, it is stable and elegant, comfortable but not luxurious, in line with the original positioning of the provincial government guest house. In the south room, the window faces the Dongfeng Road, which flows day and night, but it has double-glazed glass and good sound insulation, which did not affect my sleep. There are sufficient and convenient power sockets in the room, as well as convenient lighting facilities. The hygiene in the room is 5 stars. Room service was excellent. The public health in the guest room area is also very good. The hotel's internal environment is 4 stars. The lobby area has not changed much compared to before. It is still grand and has the restrained style and low-key of thirty years ago. The environment around the hotel has changed a lot, it is extremely clean and absolutely safe🤣. The economic growth in Guangzhou, Guangdong in recent years has promoted the general improvement of the living environment. On the west side of the hotel, separated by a wall, is the provincial government. Surrounded by surveillance cameras and guards. The surrounding environment is 6 stars! A few hundred meters to the west of the hotel is the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, a few hundred meters to the northwest is Yuexiu Park, Zhenhai Tower, Wuyang Statue and Yuexiu Mountain Stadium. A few hundred meters to the south of the overpass is the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street area, which is convenient for travel and leisure. But not noisy or crowded. 🤪🤪The following is my personal opinion: 1. There is no elevator in the basement. 🤣🤣Guests need to carry their suitcases and go up the stairs to the lobby. Unfortunately, I parked at B2 and was shocked to find that I had to carry my suitcase up two and a half flights of stairs! Looks like it's only suitable for people traveling with a driver and secretary. Hey, I remembered that this is the provincial government guest house! 2. The breakfast buffet is only 3-star level. Hope to at least switch to a freshly ground coffee machine. It feels like they are not used to receiving individual travelers for leisure travel. 3. It is hoped that the front desk can provide more convenient and considerate services to ordinary leisure tourists who are not public servants.

Super good location, easy access to everything: direct train from Guangzhou South station, metro and buses right in front. The most tourist road just in walking distance. Good food in the surroundings as well. Don’t except amazing facilities though, it’s quite old and very basic equipment.

We stayed for 2 nights here. We got a smart room where we do not have to use the key card to activate the room's electricity. However, it took us sometime to figure out how and with the help of the staff. The staffs are very friendly and seems like it is run by young people. The toilet in the room is also very strange, not the typical toilet. The glass door is shared between the toilet and the shower screen. The basin is located at the bed area. I personally do not like the toilet. It is also a street away from the Beijing Road walking street and many eateries around the vicinity. The hotel breakfast were also good although its the same menu for the 2nights we're there. They even provide supper (i.e fruits and maggie noodles). For breakfast menu, do try the noodles soup and soy bean drink. The only downside to this hotel is its soundproofing. If your room is facing the streets, be prepared that it gets very noisy even past 10pm at night. There's even loud music coming off from the push carts downstairs. Suggest to get ear plugs from the reception if you're a light sleeper. It took me sometime to get used to the sound and sleep through the noise. I will only recommend this hotel if you're planning to spend more time at Beijing Road walking street. Or if you like the bustling night life.

Highly recommended ! The hotel location is very convenient (~3min walk from Sun Yat Sen Metro station) - from Airport to hotel and hotel to to various attraction places around Guangzhou. The staff are super helpful and facilities provided meet our expectations. Our family of 4 from Malaysia have thoroughly enjoyed our 8 days stay here in Guangzhou.

This hotel is in perfect location alot of small shops where everything is convenient. Highly recommend it. I booked one night and walked around near by this one just a stoop and go night. If your Guangzhou and need a place to stay go ahead and book this place. Also it's about 30 minutes walk to Xiao lu 小北， 小路。whichever you call it.

Location is good. Within walking distance to Line 1 Ximenkou Exit or D. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in and out is fast. Plenty of eateries around hotel. WiFi is abit laggy.
