Super 8 Select Hotel (Guangzhou Jiangnanxi Metro Station) Reviews

Arrived early around 7am to store luggage, reception told us in another next hour the room would be ready and we can go get bfast first. We came back around 8.40am, reception has change shift to another person and told us no room is available yet, waited only until 10.30am+ and ask the reception then only could check in. Its great that we could check in early but would appreciate if they could keep their words - on whether there is any availability - easier for us to arrange schedule. Stayed 4 nights, first night around 11pm can hear clearly noises outside. room service doesnt change bedsheet and pillow cover. Bathroom and toilet separate, there are water stains but acceptable. Uses wechat to communicate with the reception. Quite fast in responding. Reception was helpful, help us contact the place we wanted to visit for booking.

Best Location Super Clean and staffs are very nice.

The restaurat breakfast was so poor as very few chinese food items were exist, as expatriates couldn't find variety food and let's hope you will add some fruit's and other diahes in the menu soon

Room is okay .but the mattress is too hard like i sleep on spring .holp them can improve the mattress.

The hotel room occupies floor 2 and 3, with the upper floors as office. Only 1 photo of the room (beds) is shown on Trip for "Business Triple Room"; the toilet and shower is in the open area before that (no door). About the toilet and shower space: they share a sliding door, on the smaller side, "clothes rack" is inside the toilet. About the bedroom space: generally OK, small round table with 1 chair only at the end.

All in all we had a nice stay at the hotel. It is near to a metro station (5 min walking) and to several restaurants. The metro line is good to reach the southern railway station. The staff is not able to speak any english though, although they are eager to help out using translation apps.

My worst hotel experience. Torn quilt coves isn’t the best thing to sleep in but I didn’t mind that much as long as it was clean. When the booking here shows one can check in after 12:00 and then they arrive at 13:20 after a long travel, “go wait elsewhere or with your friend for an hour” is surely the most disapointing and disrespectful thing to hear from the reception. When I ask why, he’d tell me the scanning machien had malfunctioned so they couldn't scan my ID. Then Chinese guys could check in. Thinking the problem was fixed, I ask again, which is when I was told the machine specifically couldn’t scan passport. Later on, they would check me in by typing in my passport details. All this could be right, but it’s none of my fault, so instead apologizing for the disruption, they sure made it look like a plot and they were disrespectful. I would never sign up for such thing. But my time was too limitted to find another place and had to humble myself to stay there. The place is quite and cheap and for my case very close to my destination which was major selling point for me. But if you don’t like being told to wait in the reception let alone outside and are person of color(probably, but not worth the risk), then go somewhere else.

Cheap and good but online pictures shows are different from reality.

The hotel is very well , and the hotel if the rooms is ready can let us check in first, and then if the room is ready contact us

When I was in USA I stayed super 8. It was amazing.
