Hôtel de Ville

Dear team of Hotel de Ville Gruyères, I want to take this short moment to express my sincere greetings to the precious team, from the service to the owner of the place, who all showed much serviceability and dedication to ensure a great and smooth stay. The room was big and very comfortable, the bathroom had all required amenities and the bed was big with high quality bedding. The reception ladies were most agreeable and smiling, which is always great when you come as a tourist in an unknown place. I very much appreciated how solution-oriented they all were, given that the taxi let me down last minute, and I would have missed my train if the owner himself hadn't taken me to the train station. The authentic, excellent, Swiss service, just the way we like it! I highly recommend for a real experience :)

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and charming. We enjoyed a lovely view from our room window, which we left open in the evening, and the sounds of country life. It is a perfect place to explore the village and the trails surrounding the area—there is lots of good hiking. We got a perfect parking pass ( a little bit of a walk from the hotel). There is so much to explore—we will be back!

Our room at Hotel De Ville was massive for the 3 of us and overlooked the ramparts, hills, fields and mountains. It was immaculate and minimal, just the way I like it. Of course the location is perfect and they provided us with a ticket to reduce the parking fee. I took a star off because I opted to include breakfast and felt it was lacking. There was no fresh fruit and it was not inspiring. That may be because we were there off-season. I am not sure if that was representative of the typical offering. If you are looking for a great room, this is a nice option.

It was just unfortunate that everything else in the town was pretty much closed while we were there.

Excellent hotel. The room is big and clean. Everyone is very nice and the breakfast was incredible with different kinds of cheese, dry meat, orange juice, many kinds of breads, fruit and a hot chocolate made with the delicious milk of the zone. The town is amazing and we will like to go there again

the staff was so Nice and helpfull!! The room was clean and has a great view. The hôtel is good place, and have a very good restaurant. We have very good eated. We have spend a very good week-end in à very good place We recommanded it 100% for à week or more.

Prime location, very friendly staff and good restaurant. Slightly outdated room but it’s a medieval town after all!

The staff was so lovely, every one of them! The hotel is central, quaint and clean. I would stay again for sure.

The small hotel is basically an add-on to the large and very good restaurant that doubles as the reception area. There is no actual lobby, but there is a tiny elevator that is helpful with luggage. The view from the back window was excellent, and the fondue combination meal was very good. The staff (in the restaurant) were friendly and helpful.
