Deciding last minute to head over for a Sunday roast, following being out on the hills and getting rained on, we headed over to the Bein Inn. Having been before we knew what we were in for, so we felt comfortable with knowing roughly wt to expect. I phoned prior to my arrival, asking if they were able to fit us in and obviously giving the amount of people attending. Given that it was initially three adults, eventually reducing to 2 adults, and one child under one there wasnt a problem with seating us. It was shortly after midday that we arrived and having already spoken to the individual we met on arrival, we were seated nice and quickly. In the restaurant itself, there was only one other table on our arrival, this eventually turned to three later on (excluding our table). We were met with professional and warmth on arrival, this continued throughout our time at the restaurant. Sadly, the kitchen staff let down the warm hospitality by getting the roast ordered by my wife incorrect, we had asked for turkey and in fact received roast ham. I asked the young server who brought the food out, once it had been placed down, what he had presented us with but received a very vacant look and unsure reply. Everything needed for our young son was done quickly and without question, such as a cup of warm water and a bowl for his food to go into. The only reason for giving this an 'average' review is purely because of the standard of the food, adding to the incorrect order. Due to the host and the welcoming, we did not make a fuss, but everything done on arrival unravelled the longer we were seated. Its the third or four time we have been to the Beinn Inn, which seems to have changed hands in that time, with the front of house seemingly being let down by the supporting elements.
