Hotels with Breakfast in Gijon

El Moderne is a great hotel situated in the heart of the fabulous city, Gijon. I traveled solo and stayed here for 8 days and had a lovely time. The hotel is stylish and impeccably clean. The staff are gracious and welcoming. It was easy to walk everywhere from such a convenient location and so close to the beach. I will definitely return next year.

Hubby and i stayed for a week while visiting my family.I cant fault anything in this hotel. Rooms are super clean, bit of a perfect mix between old fashion and modern. All the staff is great, very professional. Breakfast was excellent. There is no coffee shop or bar, but lots of options in the center of Gijón, so thats not a problem. We will be coming back.

The hotel has no land and is bordered by a 30,000 seater stadium and 20+ story blocks of flats to the rear. This is not the idyllic retreat that the web site photos show. Anti-social youths gathered in the public park to the front which is literally under the bedroom windows shouting and yelling. The hotel staff were reluctant to deal with the problem, so after four hours at 10.00 pm, when we could not sleep I had to pressure them to call the police. The Paradores organisation and the local management need to take ownership of this problem and find a solution. We cancelled our second night's stay. The irony was months before when we booked, we asked for a ”quiet room”, only to given the worst room in the hotel!

All in all, we found this hotel to be impressive, all rooms are clean, tidy, beautiful and correct, the hotel is well located about 15m from the old town. For ”but”, I will introduce the following. When arriving at the reception, the girl who attended our meeting (by the way, very beautiful) explained that if we want to eat breakfast and enjoy a 9 euro discount, then we can hire him the day before because it is 18 euros. In general, we went out for dinner and then returned to the hotel. The next day we wanted to rent breakfast. To our surprise, the boy at the reception told us that in order to benefit from this offer, we must We hired him during our stay and he gave us so angry that we didn't do it because it was not what they told us in the first place. But on the Sunday before leaving, there was another girl at the reception. In order to confirm the true version, we told her what happened and confirmed the version of her first companion. She asked us a thousand apologies. The facts are facts. There is nothing we can do. Could not have breakfast.

Check in was very quick and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Hotel is located a little “far” from downtown Gijón, but is close to bus stop and 25 minutes walking to main center. Parking is free and on site!!

Hotel location is very good, price economy, very close to the yacht port, 10 minutes walk to reach.

Hotel Alda Pasaja is located on a busy street with a lot of traffic, right at the centre. The outdoor life in the centre is very noisy at night and night, even with windows closed and closures in there is a lot of noise load. The lift, water use of shower, washing table and toilet is also clearly hearable. The hotel has a stopline to load baggage and a street further is a public parking garage. The hotel has a discount code for parking costs €13 per day.

I recommend this hotel to everyone. Fun service, cleanliness, good breakfast, location near the promenade, bus station and the city centre. Thanks especially to the staff at the reception. We were stayed earlier than planned. Before the departure, breakfast was served at 6 a.m. I would like to mention a competent marketing and flexible price policy. We were very satisfied.
