Beautiful room with high ceilings and very comfortable bed. This hotel is very well located for the old town and my room had a lovely terrace. There is no lift and some rooms are high up but mine was easy to access. Nice coffee machine and great shower

Avoid this place at any cost. They claim to offer a five star experience , but they lack any basilar service of civil life. The heating in the room is not working , the room is really cold, and you can’t even take a hot shower , since the hot water is not working. I had to wash myself with cold water, and that is not pleasant on December. They have a WhatsApp number you can talk to, but it is totally pointless, they just pretend everything is fine in the apar**ent and that they will check. Spoiler: they won’t check. I asked for a partial refund of the rent, since the experience was really unacceptable. They said “ I’ll let you know.” Spoiler: they won’t let you know.

The only pros is the location. The rest is to be revised, room not properly cleaned, I had to argue to get an iron, and request bedsheet change. They collected the bath mat on the first day but did not replace it. I was in room 3 and someone came to the room upper floor, I could here them waking on the parquet until 1am. Very noisy in general, isolation to be reviewed. Do not go there if you have big luggage, there is no elevator. I regret not to have booked the B&B next door.

towels were stained, vinyl flooring was loose and patched, bathroom smelled, stains on the external of the wardrobes, safety chain was broken, blind in sitting area had been cut away, smell from restaurant below was noticed throughout the hotel, this was not a five star experience as the hotel claims, even their budget prices could not make me stay. I moved out without even staying the night.

Never stay in this hotel. The bathrooms have a very unpleasant smell . You can reek the food from the restaurant up to the third floor. The vinyl flooring was loose and patched, the wardrobe was stained on the inside. The towels also had stains on them. The blind in the sittingroom had been cut away. I can not think of anything positive to say. They claim to offer a five star experience at low cost but in my eyes the low price does not make up for the one star quality. I did not even stay the night but moved to a different hotel nearby. Kath, Pudsey

We needed for business one night stay in Ghent. Flemish Tale is very convenient in the heart of the City Centre near all sights, shops, restaurants. university and other venues. We got very goot offer for this down town so no complaintes here. For full fare I would have been less happy since TV did not work (no connection), the rain shower did not function (only smaller hand held shower) and the toilet was a bitt tiny. Bed ok, no writing desk, but two nice chairs. We had some check in issues (one needs entrance code. which was not communicated to us) but these were solved by phoneby a friendly helpdesk person. Notice that there is no reception or staff around. The restaurant at ground floor is not connected to the B&B management. To views over the town are breathtaking!!!

Well, I rarely write reviews and if place is within standards I would just leave it even if there were a few things wrong, but this place was an absolute joke.. long story short this looks like luxury in pictures only and without glasses, in reality it is poorly knocked up loft, to start with entrance to this loft is through Smurf stairs, that probably has 1m from step to ceiling, it is kind of nice entrance with all luggage, especially for someone not too good with stairs, as you enter property floor is squeaky and has a gaps, it is done to a very low standard ( we stayed in low class hotel last 2 nights, and that was a modern clean compared to this luxury loft..) Going to toilet it is something you want to avoid, as it is build in lowest part of loft and not suited anyone above 1.5m height..Shower head is absolute master piece again only good for small person as it does not adjust, and large drop head is barely dripping water, this was the best part as I have started to have shower water was building and covering my feet so I had to stop it (whilst all covered in shampoo) asked my partner to check if water is not flowing to room as this shower is going directly to the room floor ( hence is probably not first time all the gaps and squeaking on flooring) we could hear this slowly dripping in the hallway below, but water still standing barely moving, we go downstairs and it is running through ceiling (looks like same as before as marks on ceiling, crack on ceiling water passing through smoke detector ect..) as well as going and flooding nearby Smurf toilet 😀 this is hilarious but at the time it was not… so I quickly wash soap and my partner understands that no way she can have a shower as this thing is flowing..As this is modern WhatsApp friendly service service I send all info, reply comes next day morning after me sending numerous messages on what to do, as this is something they will look in, and does not find maybe there is an issue, neither TV that is not working, and installed off plumb, neither dirty towels left in sink drawer and shaving head covers left in sink (probably from previous guests) as we could not check in 1h earlier because rooms were not ready.. customer service does not recognise any of these being an issue, so we checked out next day..Budget hotel is better stay than this luxury pad..not worth money until is refurbished up to safe standards..

The photos do not do this hotel and the room justice. The room had ample space, a large comfortable king bed and an excellent patio that we used through out our whole stay. Very centrally located to the best restaurants and local must see sites. Houssein was a very gracious host and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. 10/10 highly recommend!

The facilities are also very good so our activities can be very enjoyable. Great place with many activities to choose from. It’s just amazing. Love the pool and playground. Great breakfast was provided with various menus.
