Woodlyn Guest House

If The Woodlyn isn't the best place to stay in Gatehouse there must be some absolutely phenomenal hotels and guest houses there. We have just spent a few days visiting friends in Gatehouse and stayed at The Woodlyn and could not believe how good it was from start to finish. the warm welcome and hospitality shown by Kev & Nikki was second to none, the room and en-suite would not have been out of place in a luxury 5* Hotel and the breakfast was quality and cooked individually to order. If anybody is visiting the area we would happily thoroughly recommend The Woodlyn Guest House for a great stay.

From the minute we arrived Kevin & Nikki couldn’t have done anymore for us. We stayed while attending a family wedding at the nearby GG’s yard and Kevin helped arrange taxis and places for us to eat. The guest house is located centrally in Gatehouse of Fleet and is spotlessly clean and modern with exceptional bedrooms & amenities. We stayed in Willow room overlooking the side road and heard no noise at all,beds are very comfortable and breakfasts are amazing( u will not go hungry). Will definitely stay again if in the area

We spent a long weekend at Woodlyn from 1st to 4th March 2024. The accommodation is superb, 5 stars all the way echoing the sentiments of previous reviews. Hosts Kev and Nikki are wonderful, ensuring your stay is the best it can be. Home made cakes for an afternoon treat, beyond expectations

Had a great four nights here. Rooms are to a very high standard and extremely clean. The breakfast is excellent and vegetarians / vegans are well catered for. Kevin is an excellent host who is friendly and very accommodating. A five star break !!!

This was the nicest guesthouse I have ever stayed at in Scotland. It was extremely clean and comfortable, modern but yet homely. The linen was soft and pure white as were the towels. The bathroom was immaculate and modern with a large shower and a lovely deep free-standing bath. Plenty of toiletries. Very quiet so no disturbed sleep, free WiFi, variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate are provided in the room along with cookies. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices and cooked to perfection. The hosts, Nikki and Kev White are really nice, pleasant and very welcoming. I would have no hesitation in staying here again, it is just wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodlyn Guest House when in the area for our friends wedding. The Guest House is immaculate and has everything you could possibly require. Kevin and Nikki were very friendly and could not do enough to make us feel welcome. The breakfast is first class, with good quality produce and a great selection. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

My wife and I have done many long distance walks which involves stopping in 5 or 6 different b&bs and Guest Houses each trip. WOODLYN is as good as it gets. Not walking this time but attending a wedding in the area but all the boxes were well and truly ticked. Very friendly and helpful hosts, really comfortable accommodation, cracking breakfast, parking and reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Kev and Nicki are friendly hosts and run an immaculate and beautifully decorated B&B. The rooms are really comfortable and spotlessly clean, with plenty of space and a comfy bed, as well as very good bathroom facilities. The breakfast is delicious and there is a range of options from hearty to healthy. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. This is superior to other places I have stayed in nearby, and I am a regular visitor to this beautiful part of the world.

Welcomed by Kevin at the door, he made checking in easy and quick. The room was amazing. The breakfast was very impressive, both the range of items available and the quality. We can honestly say this the best guest house we have stayed in and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
