The room was spacious but the facilities were old. The toilet, however, was a brand new, smart TOTO. The shower head was a bit small. The duvet was thick and heavy, felt like cotton. They also charged a hot spring tax, even if you didn't use the hot springs. The surrounding area was nice, right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and the fireworks display was held over the lake. There's a free shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station, which is only about 700 meters away. Personally, I'm not used to futons on tatami mats.

The cleanliness was good. I didn't interact with any staff, so I can't really comment on the service, good or bad! The entrance had a strong musty smell! The surrounding area of Lake Kawaguchiko is beautiful, and having a Lawson convenience store nearby was super handy! The hot spring was just okay, and the hairdryer was useless, couldn't dry my hair at all! There's an outdoor circular hot spring pool, but no water dispenser. You need to bring your own water for bathing! Also, no weighing scale! However, the price was cheap, so overall, it's great value for money!

I really enjoyed my stay at Yagamisi Ryokan. The location is excellent, as it is situated very close to Lake Kawaguchiko, making it perfect for relaxing walks and morning jogs. The room was a traditional Japanese tatami room. The tatami mats would shift at night, and they were quite hard. The hot spring was nice, but the price felt a bit high for what it was.
