If you want the full fawlty towers experience then this is the hotel for you. A bit of a calamity throughout the whole stay… from a half cut receptionist to the bad food, this was not a good experience. I would call this hotel nothing more than a ‘truck stop’ and I felt sorry for the bus loads of tourist that were checked in and expecting to experience a Scottish hotel… what they got was a poor experience, much like mine. How do I know, I heard them complain

I was worried when I read the reviews at first, but other places are either far away or super expensive. When I arrived, I found that it was okay, it was an old-fashioned European hotel, the room was unexpectedly large, and the sanitation was also good. The sound insulation is poor. There is actually a swimming pool, and the mushrooms for breakfast are very delicious. The child said he was very satisfied.

Not very good. When I arrived, the parking yard wasn’t cleared from snow. Many cars got stuck, including me. The day after, on check-out, problem was the same. Guests had to help each other push the cars and the hotel staff was nowhere to be found.
The rooms are very old and worn down. The place need a complete refurbishment. The bed was however alright, and it was quiet.
Breakfast was simple but ok.

The staff at this hotel were nothing more than Saviours for us. They helped us with many first world problems with a smile. By the end of our stay we even knew the names of the staff who are incredibly friendly. Thank you so much for making our trip wonderful, especially Josh!

Nice friendly staff with a lovely warm room
Pity the tap in the bathroom was loose and some of the wall tiles were cracked or missing
The water in the swimming pool was baltic cold and no fun to be in even the so called hot tub was very icey cold
Didn't spend much time in the leisure centre mores the pity
