The hotel was really good. It is NOT located in the center city. It took about 25 minutes in a wheelchair to get to the city. The setting was beautiful. The resturaunt food was about average and really expensive. After the first night eating dinner there, we decided to do something else. We really enjoyed our aperitivo was great. The only thing that would keep us from staying there would be if we wanted to stay in the center of excitement.

My wife and I enjoyed our vacation in Florence, and staying at Matteo's welcoming and cozy place was part of this wonderful experience. We booked the Family/Deluxe room directly through their website, which made it convenient to communicate with the host to ask about the room choice, arrival process, etc. through WhatsApp in real-time. The room on the second floor was spacious and very quiet (the latter was particularly important since we are both light sleepers). The Villa was within walking distance of the Florence Historical Center, a nice 25-30 min stroll to the main attractions. Matteo took his time to give us an overview of the city and recommendations about museums, historical landmarks, and restaurants (including those off the beaten path). We also took a day trip to Siena and Mateo helped a great deal to plan the itineraries including what to see on the way to Siena and where to stop for dinner. It was also nice to interact with other B&B guests during daily breakfasts, served by David who spoke several languages and was kind and attentive to all questions and requests. Since there is so much left to see in Florence and nearby towns, and if we come back to Florence, we will definitely stay at this B&B place again.

Very well run hotel. Everything that you need for a stay in Florence. Beds were comfy. Room spacious with a nice feeling. Bathroom was small but well appointed. Staff very helpful with recommendations and travel instructions. Much more in keeping with the Italian atmosphere than more modern souless hotels. There is a huge supermarket opposite which is very useful. Getting the bus to town and back was simple and cheap with a stop outside or one behind the supermarket. We bought tickets from the supermarket cashier and from the hotel reception. Also the Cotton Bar opposite was great value. Will definitely stay again.

Gorgeous room with affreschi on the ceiling. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom is new, neat, and has a bidet. The shower was nice too. Some breakfast and bottled water were given as a present which was greatly appreciated. A bit distant from the centre (30min walk), but there are buses and rentable e-bikes/e-scooters.

An absolute gem of a hotel that we just loved! We always try to stay at boutique hotels where possible and the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor for Hotel David were 100% accurate. It surpassed our expectations and we whole heartedly recommend it. It’s not in the center of Florence but it’s only. 20min walk or short bus ride. We enjoy walking so it was part of the enjoyment of our holiday. On the days where the heat was a bit much (38 degrees Celsius), we simply caught the bus. The hotel sells tickets for their face value of 1.5Eur and they’re valid for 90 minutes. We just used Google to figure out the bus routes but they’re very easy to use. There are a couple of handy routes and the bus stops are 30secs-1 minute away from the hotel. Breakfast is included and there is so much choice. Yoghurts, fresh fruit, pastries, bacon, eggs, cheese, coffee, tea, juice, and they have gluten free options too. There is also aperitivo provided each night from 6-8.30pm with wine, beer and delicious nibbles. We enjoyed sitting outside in the shade, having a drink before wandering of nearby for dinner. The staff are just wonderful. Friendly, helpful and thoughtful. The hotel is also extremely good value! We just loved it there!

The reason why I’m voting 3 stars is because I wasn’t able to take a decent shower due to the water being blocked and it starting to overflow to the ground after 5/6 minutes. You guys need to call a plumber as everything in the toilet is blocked. I went to the spa which I was really looking forward to, to then go into a “hot tub” that was freezing cold! The salt room was ice cold inside and the steam room wasn’t even steaming. That was disappointing. I did tell the receptionist about it and he said he’d call someone to come tomorrow morning to fix it. Considering my experience in the spa was horrible the decent thing staff could have given to me as gratitude is a free session. But I didn’t get any of that. Overall decent not a bad location considering there’s buses near by that takes you straight to city centre however PLEASE can the MANAGER call a plumber and fix those blocked showers.
