The hotel was really good. It is NOT located in the center city. It took about 25 minutes in a wheelchair to get to the city. The setting was beautiful. The resturaunt food was about average and really expensive. After the first night eating dinner there, we decided to do something else. We really enjoyed our aperitivo was great. The only thing that would keep us from staying there would be if we wanted to stay in the center of excitement.

My wife and I enjoyed our vacation in Florence, and staying at Matteo's welcoming and cozy place was part of this wonderful experience. We booked the Family/Deluxe room directly through their website, which made it convenient to communicate with the host to ask about the room choice, arrival process, etc. through WhatsApp in real-time. The room on the second floor was spacious and very quiet (the latter was particularly important since we are both light sleepers). The Villa was within walking distance of the Florence Historical Center, a nice 25-30 min stroll to the main attractions. Matteo took his time to give us an overview of the city and recommendations about museums, historical landmarks, and restaurants (including those off the beaten path). We also took a day trip to Siena and Mateo helped a great deal to plan the itineraries including what to see on the way to Siena and where to stop for dinner. It was also nice to interact with other B&B guests during daily breakfasts, served by David who spoke several languages and was kind and attentive to all questions and requests. Since there is so much left to see in Florence and nearby towns, and if we come back to Florence, we will definitely stay at this B&B place again.

The reason why I’m voting 3 stars is because I wasn’t able to take a decent shower due to the water being blocked and it starting to overflow to the ground after 5/6 minutes. You guys need to call a plumber as everything in the toilet is blocked. I went to the spa which I was really looking forward to, to then go into a “hot tub” that was freezing cold! The salt room was ice cold inside and the steam room wasn’t even steaming. That was disappointing. I did tell the receptionist about it and he said he’d call someone to come tomorrow morning to fix it. Considering my experience in the spa was horrible the decent thing staff could have given to me as gratitude is a free session. But I didn’t get any of that. Overall decent not a bad location considering there’s buses near by that takes you straight to city centre however PLEASE can the MANAGER call a plumber and fix those blocked showers.

The space of this hotel is wide, the facilities in the room are very good, and it is comfortable to not want to go out. But there are also many different buses near the hotel, which can take you to the city center and attractions .

Campo di Marte
This hotel is in a residential area about 20 minutes walk out of the city centre. It is very quiet, even on the fabulous balconies that our rooms had. The hotel and the rooms were all very clean and tidy. The staff were incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were not what we are used to in the UK, but (I believe) very typically Tuscan, with heavy focus on bread and cakes. If I had one (very) minor quibble, it would be that the gentleman responsible for replenishing the breakfast buffet during breakfast was sometimes a little slow, and would not be overly generous when he did put out new items. However, this is a very minor quibble and does not take away from the fact that this is a fabulous hotel, with fabulous staff, in a great location.

Located in the Campo di Marte district, it is located about 15 minutes walk from the same name station. The city centre is located on several bus routes (bus stop 2 minutes), but you can also walk to Piazza della Signoria in about 15 minutes. The way there is saved from nice restaurants and shops, a small market hall (very recommended) and some supermarkets outside the tourist area. Here you go shopping and eat to the Florence. When we arrived in the afternoon, the owner Pietro was not on the ground, but left us a note with his phone number at the entrance door. From the distance he opened us the doors and we could get our cozy room. The equipment is simply kept, but is convinced by a lot of stuff, safe, refrigerator and air conditioning in a beautiful atmosphere. With open window it was not really sleeping as the room was turned to the street. The windows closed, however, well protected the noise and the air conditioning provided pleasant temperatures. Pietro welcomed us next morning and served Capuccini to typical Italian breakfast buffet. Afterwards he surprised us with a city plan and many helpful tips. He also recommended a bus tour through Toscana with the goals Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. Whoever spends several days in Florence can get some change with this tour.
