On the good side - Rooms - The room where we stayed seemed like a newly renovated one. Romm's Facilities - All facilities were of a very good standard - mattresses, faucets, etc. Room size - The room as well as the shower were spacious and the design of them was also very nice. Pre arriving requests fulfillment - The hotel was attentive to our request sent in advance, to reserve for us a quiet room. On the needed to be improved side - Cleanliness - In the bathroom near the sink, were medications that were not ours and probably were left there by previous guests. Breakfast - The breakfast was quite basic without a buffet but just pre-organized plates covered with plastic wrap. The lady explained to us that on Mondays they do not open the buffet, we did not see in advance any note on it while booking. Off-hour entrance - We were not informed by the receptionist that the main doors to the hotel are locked at a certain time in the evening and so I found myself out of the hotel. In my case it was not a problem as there was still a lady at the restaurant that cleaned there the floor (and my wife was in our room at that time).

Superbe hôtel avec des chambres entièrement rénovée il y a deux ans. Spacieuses, au calme. Bon petit déjeuner, buffet façon brunch le dimanche matin inclus avec la chambre. Le restaurant est bon avec une belle terrasse donnant sur un super parc pour les enfants avec Tyrolienne et petit train qui circule dans le jardin. Le personnel est adorable et il y’a un local pour garer les vélos pendant la nuit.

Definitiv kein Ort für Vegetarier! Ich habe eines der drei vegetarischen Gerichte "Gemüse-Curry" bestellt und prompt ein Stück Fleisch im Essen vorgefunden. Nachdem ich es dem Kellner gemeldet hatte, kam dieser wenig später zurück und meinte, der Koch habe gesagt, es handle sich um ein Stück Zitronengras. Zitronengras war zwar ein wesentlicher Bestandteil dieses Gerichtes, doch kann ich sehr wohl zwischen dem dominanten Geschmack von Zitronengras und dem von Fleisch unterscheiden. Sowohl ich wie auch meine Frau waren sich sicher, das es sich hierbei unverkennbar um ein Stück Fleisch und nichts anderes handeln musste. Das sich der Koch nach dieser Reklamation nicht mal bei mir persönlich meldete, oder man sich zumindest für den Fehler entschuldigte, ist schon äusserst bedauerlich. Und auch das Dessert enttäuschte sehr. Die Glacekugeln kamen halb geschmolzen bei uns an. Für uns war dies der letzte Besuch.

Ich komme schon seid vielen Jahren in die Gibswilerstube um mich Kulinarisch zu verwöhnen. Sei es nach dem Wandern im schönen Tösstal oder nach einer tollen Bike Tour. Man wird immer herzlich empfangen und freundlich und aufmerksam Bedient. Ein Super funktionirendes Team. Liebes Gibswilerstubenteam macht so weiter es ist immer ein Erlebnis bei euch einzukehren. Ich komme sicher wieder und wieder........
