Well, the hotel is a great property. Very nice rooms. A good pool. A good location. Etc. I took a group there recently, and everyone loved it. The problem is that they serve buffet dinners. I had a group of 20 people, and at about 3 a.m. that night, after the buffet dinner, we all started getting sick and throwing up. When I spoke with two managers the next morning about the situation, they took me into a back room and became angry when I said that I believed the buffet was the reason that my customers were sick. The managers told me that surely my customers must have become sick from the previous day's lunch, which was ridiculous because we all ate different things at lunch. And, of course, we all ate from the hotel's buffet that night, and became very ill about seven or eight hours later. Almost all of us were sick for about 48 hours, and being sick, and having to travel into the Sahara, was very difficult and detracted from the experience. In my option, this hotel should be serving a la carte dinners. I don't know why they want to do the huge buffets, with giant bowls of food. My local tour guide told me that he thought that they left the food out, then re-used it the next night, and perhaps the next, etc. This is my belief as I only ate cooked vegetables and yet I became very sick... If you stay at this hotel, I would be very careful of the buffet. Otherwise, it was a good hotel.
