Our room had a HORRIBLE FOUL SMELL in the bathroom that went into the room.
When we arrived at the room, the windows were wide open. Maybe they were trying to air out the smell?
I went to the front desk and explained.
She came back to the room with me to see for herself.
Then she told me to wait while she checks on a solution.
They did not have any room to switch us to.
That would have solved things!
This situation was not our fault.
They said they could send a technician in the morning???
That would be too late.
Because it smelled so foul and they couldn't solve the issue, we couldn't sleep in that room.
The room was not in proper condition for guests!
We ended up booking at another hotel, we had the inconvenience of moving to another place and paying for it because of the condition of the room we were given.
This is solely the responsibility of the hotel!
They REFUSED to issue a refund.
They kept our money without providing a proper room!
I called 4 times about this to talk to them.
At first they seemed to understand and led me to believe they would issue the refund.
We were only briefly in the room, trying to see if it would air out and then waiting for the hotel to respond to our situation.
I don't understand this kind of behavior!
I find it very upsetting that they are keeping the money and not treating their guests better.
They could have apologized for the situation.
No, they did not.
They could have refunded our money when we left.
No they did not!
