I've stayed at this hotel a few times now, seems like it's starting to get a little beat up. Great lobby hangout area and breakfast, I just think the rooms could use a deep clean and it might be time for new pillows/sheets/mattresses. Otherwise you can stay at basically the same hotel across the street that is new for the same price.

The breakfast was wonderful, and the room was nice and clean. Only problem was trying to figure out how to lower window shades.

While our check-in was fantastic the rest of the stay was mediocre at best. Not real sure how the heater was supposed to work as the fan rarely turned off and constantly blew cool air. They moved us to a different room, but the heater had the same problem. If the temperature was raised to 74* or 75* it would blow warm air for a while, then back to the cool air. After our first nights stay we came back to the room to find that housekeeping hadn't been in to at least empty trash and leave fresh towels. Went to the front desk to get some and was told they only come every 4th day to service the room. They made a note to have housekeeping come the next day. We had 2 small dogs with us and had to acknowledge the "rules". One of them was to have a door hanger on the door at all times making housekeeping aware there were pets in the room. The "rules" said housekeeping wouldn't come in unless we were there and the dogs were on leashes. The "rule" seemed confusing and when the desk clerk was asked about it she even said it was confusing. Finally, Tru by Hilton bills themselves as a minimalist property. Only 1 uncomfortable chair in the room. Needed an ink pen, but they don't provide pens. No drawers in the event you wanted to unpack luggage. For us it didn't matter, but they don't even have coffee makers in the rooms. Other than the price I felt our room was kind of like a Motel 6 room from 40 years ago.

My husband and I were in town to see a comedy show, and I definitely didn't regret booking with Tru. The facilities are very clean all-around, you get beautifully simple accommodations with modern tech, a personalized "welcome" on the TV on arrival, and the staff were very kind. Only complaints would be that there were flies somehow getting in (we killed 2 in the 1 night stay), and the breakfast items don't seem closely monitered for use-by dates or freshness. Otherwise, it was a perfectly pleasant stay! The bartender at B-dubs even let us non-locals know we picked a great hotel because the other side of the nearby bridge is a sketchy area. So, thank you, Elkhart for being so hospitable! Would book again!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating during my stay. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming upon arrival. I didn’t eat the free breakfast offered but they did offer a nice variety of selections from 6-9am plus they have food/snack area where you can purchase items. I would definitely recommend.

Hotel was clean and quiet. We had an issue with the inside door lock locking us out of the room when we left the room. The door closing must have jarred the lock closed. We went to the young lady (I'm sorry that I can't remember her name) that checked us in. She called her manager for advice on how to handle our issue which she did very quickly. She was very friendly and helpful and we appreciate her.

Hotel was ok for the price. Hotel staff was ok except for one person. One front desk person was rude, not to us directly but to the people in front of me checking and to other guests. Also, two vehicles were broken into, on two different days. The first one we reported to the “rude front desk lady” but of course she was rude a said oh well there nothing we can do. We said you should notify the people and call the police. That didn’t happen, until I found the owner myself.

Overall a nice motel. A little small but OK. The bed was very uncomfortable. I do have a bad back. We stayed for three nights, and they did not sweep the floors. For the price a decent motel.

Great new concept hotel. This was our 10 th hotel in thirteen days and far superior to all the others. Great beds/bedding, quiet, great breakfast, clean and fresh. Easy access to tollway and safe area. I will seek out this brand in the future.

the room was clean and met our needs. We were told at check in that breakfast was from 6 am to 9 am, however, when we arrived to get breakfast at 6:45 am before a sporting event, we were told we could not have any of the food that was already set out until 7 a.m.. It was inconvenient to have to go and find food for my hungry athletes at 6:50 am.
