The location is very good. It is in the center of the city. Nearby are the core values of the city-the Fine Arts Museum, the History Museum, the Cathedral, the Theater Square, and the Stadium. They are all a few hundred meters away. There are also trams for a ride. Social idlers are the main ones. The three mature steaks in the restaurant are great. The parking fee is not expensive. It would be a pity not to go to the Museum of Fine Arts.

The hotel is slowly being renovated so we had a really fresh room; very clean and smart. The breakfast was great with a range of items, including some healthy options (oatmeal, fresh-ish bagels). The lobby is clean and spacious. The location is great: walkable to downtown bars and to the border crossing. The first room overlooked the expressway which is incredibly noisy, so we asked for a replacement and got a lovely room overlooking the city.

We have stayed here several times and always liked it. The location is great and the rooms are comfortable. The value is good and there are many restaurants nearby. There is a lot of deferred maintenance in the hotel. Public areas and rooms. We stay at HGIs so we can eat in. The restaurant only had Pino Grigio for a white wine choice. We drink Chardonnay. The server had no idea what we were talking about, so we left and went to a nearby restaurant.

After contacting Ctrip customer service immediately, I agreed to repay at the hotel, and Ctrip refunded me later.

Unfortunately there had been a reservation error and the hotel was without vacancy. I had just gotten into town late (after a long travel day) and was not in the mood to hear there was no room. Angela (the Lady at the front desk) listened to me gripe and without returning my frustration was able to free up a room. Booked two nights here while in town for a funeral. Stood waiting at the desk for 10 minutes for someone to appear to check us in, and when he did show up there was no apology for the delay. The first issue was that they couldn't find our reservation. We booked a king size room, thinking it would be a little larger than room for the bed but alas this was not the case. It was a king size bed, but there wasn't anywhere to even put a suitcase down. In addition, there were two measly standard size feather pillows on the bed, along with a ”decorative” pillow. The only item in the bathroom was conditioner (not sure why conditioner), and the water never got hot. The internet did not work in our room, and staff had no idea what to do to fix it and offered no solutions. We ended up checking out after just one night, and while it was late, about 3 pm, the front refused to check us out until the next morning, saying ”if I check you out now, it will show the room as available and it's not.” It was overall not an experience I would care to repeat and will find different accommodations if we find it necessary to return to El Paso.
