A century-old store means that the facilities are a bit old, especially the floors, but the location of the hotel is very good, opposite the coast, less than 5 minutes' walk from the famous seaside hotel, and 10 minutes' walk from Eastbourne Secondary School. It's particularly close. Every minute of the English breakfast is freshly made. Well, it's very good. I'm late every time. It’s a pity that I forget to take photos every time😅😅

The hotel is a very beautiful resort hotel. It is located in Eastbourne, a coastal city in southern England. The city is relatively leisurely. The hotel is also decorated in a seaside style, with blue and white tones, and a very European style. The room is quite large for the UK, but the most impressive thing is the breakfast in the restaurant, which is quite good, of course by British catering standards.

We were checked in for a two night stay and were given 3 rooms in total due to our horrific stay. The first room we were given was absolutely filthy! We requested a new room which we were given and only got worse from there. At 2:30 am we were woken up in discomfort and itchy, only to get up and investigate the bed and find multiple bed bugs across the bed and pillows. It was horrific!!!! The bites I have received were disgusting and what was even more upsetting and disappointment was the reaction of the staff. We were moved to another room at 3am and were told to complain to the day staff in the morning which we did. They only offered us a complimentary breakfast and 10% off our stay which was only £10.30. £10.30 after all we endured during our stay is laughable!!!! If only we could upload videos of the bed bugs we took, the pictures do not do it justice at all. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Especially if you value your peace, sanity and skin.

Excellent location for the beach, various restaurants, shops and the railway station - with the added bonus of having on-site parking. We were welcomed by the lovely Nickole who was full of smiles and very friendly. She explained the breakfast room, showed us the evening facilities (i.e. if you wanted use of a microwave), and where the lounge area was (with drink facilities if required). Our booking was for 2 single rooms and as requested were on the same floor. The rooms, each with their own bathroom, have everything you need and the beds were very comfy. Overall this B&B is nice and clean and in a good location. At the end of my stay I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Steve and through our chat I could see his passion for ensuring his guests would have a great stay (since they took this place on last year), and that he would be a good custodian of this lovely old Victorian building. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

Reception staff most unhelpful and not forthcoming with giving information. When booking I sent an email asking where we could eat with our dog that was booked in and paid for. I have no problem paying extra to take the dog but I do expect a reply, I didn't get one. When we checked in I asked again to be told that we could not have an evening meal as dogs were not allowed but we could have a light lunch menu or snack. Not what we wanted after travelling for 3.5 hours. We went somewhere else to eat. We asked about breakfast to be told we could eat in our bedroom or in the library. We opted for the library but it is very difficult and bad for the digestion to eat a hot breakfast on a lounge table, just the right height for the dog. We really did feel like outsiders. Dogs may be welcome but the owners are not. Must say the restaurant staff were lovely and I think they felt embarrassed about the whole thing. It would make it slightly better if they had a table the right height to eat.

This was my second stay, the first with my granddaughter aged 2 and 10 months. Everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was just so friendly and we had a wonderful time. We felt like part of the family and were very much ”at home” staying at the Beach Front. A big thank you from myself and Isabel for making us feel so welcome.

An unexpected opportunity to leave the teenagers at home for the night led to us booking a night at the Ravilious. What a fabulous place, the owners, Chris and Caroline were welcoming and friendly, with lots of recommendations for places to eat and drink, as well as places to go. Our room was beautiful, the whole place has been done so nicely and had a lovely feel to it. Breakfast was delicious, all freshly prepared and served in the dining/bar area. We actually don't live that far from Eastbourne but it felt like a real treat and a lovely break away, the weather was perfect and we took the long way home to visit Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters and Cuckmere and then onto the Longman Brewery which are all close to the hotel. Perfect place and we would love to come back again!

Just arrived back from break at Ebor Lodge, Eastbourne. The hotel was fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good. Will definitely go back. The drive from Essex was OK even with road diversions, it was no trouble. Was taken as part of 70th birthday present and I couldn't have enjoyed it any better. PS The little veranda was a good suntrap over looking beach and sea.
