Bridgeside Guest House

Made a last minute decision to visit Looe earlier this week, sadly only had time to stay for one night but very pleased we found this lovely guesthouse. Received a very warm friendly welcome and nothing too much trouble. Stayed in a lovely room at the front of the house with a huge bay window to sit in and enjoy the view. We will definitely be back!

Love this place ! Really friendly and comfy. Staff are really nice and helpful and the location is perfect for Harbour and Beach Shops also close by. Fresh cooked full breakfasts are amazing and the whole experience was pleasant Will definitely return made me very welcome

Stayed two nights last week to attend a family wedding, there were three rooms booked, and I had liaised with Sammy the owners over many months to arrange this. Easy to find as is on the main road into the town, with a small car park just along from it, but this gets busy quickly. Large car park just over the bridge. Met by Sammy the owner who helped with bags, all 3 rooms next to each other. As others have mentioned there are steep steps up to the guest house, so not suitable if you have walking difficulties. Rooms nice and clean, towels changed daily and room cleaned. Price includes great breakfast choice, very friendly welcome, Sammy and team were all very helpful, would highly recommend, and it is just a few minutes walk from the main town, with a taxi rank and bus stop just outside.

We stay here every year to for my mums birthday. It feels like a home from home. Lovely friendly service from Sammy. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Looe. We stay in room 2 for the view. Guesthouse is great value for money, we enjoy the breakfast too.

Bridgeside Guest House is located on the east side of Looe overlooking the bridge which links East and West Looe together. The guesthouse has three floors once you climb the outside steps to reach the front entrance. Therefore, it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. The owner is very friendly and attentive to his guests. A Cornish breakfast is included in the room rate and there is a small isolated bar adjacent to the dining room. We had a lovely stay and it was a great base to explore Looe and its surroundings.

Sammy and his partner Belinda are excellent ,relaxed and very welcoming hosts. We like room 6 or 2 because they have nice views (room 2 is a family room and bay window ,on first floor ..room 6 small double room With lovely views on top floor ). Sammy always offers to help with cases . Lovely Doris is so nice and she is the front of house waitress we’ve known for a while there always checking if you want more tea,coffeee,food etc…very chatty too,the others are nice too. The rooms are clean ,plenty of tea,coffee etc… Clean towels are provided daily . We cannot fault anything ,we love the relaxed &friendly a**osphere. The parking is on a pay n display 24hr car park over the bridge …Millpond we use ,about £9.70p per 24hrs. Our car or cw van has always been fine left there (11 days this time). The shops and bus stops are very close by to use. 10/10 for everything This place is a 💎 gem . There are about 15 -20steps up to entrance of guest house and then a further 13 to first floor the. A further 13 to second floor which could be a bit difficult if your mobility is limited The prices Sammy charges are very reasonable indeed and what you get is very good value for money indeed.

We had a lovely stay in Looe thanks to Bridgeside and friendly host Sammy, definitely hope to return at some point.

Lovely room, with a view over the river/Looe Bridge. Perfect for an overnight stay. The website booking system implied there was no availability for a 1 night stay, but this was agreed when I emailed directly. Check-in was straightforward and the breakfast was good

Very homely. Sammy and Belinda really do look after you well. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Excellent position for buses,town,beach ,harbour,shops and nice walks. We love it here,stayed 4 times.
