The hotel's fine but how they treat people isn't. My sister-in-law, a Ukrainian refugee, was waiting for us in the lobby. Our train was late so she was there for a while. The man working at the front desk, Mr. Thomas, kicked her out just for sitting in the lobby so she had to stand outside for about an hour. When I asked him to apologize to her he looked at me and said sorry, refusing to actually apologize to her. I sensed his prejudice against her and the other employees would only make up exuses for him. I also called four times from the train and no one would answer the phones.

Excellent hotel, greatly located just next to Duisburg Main Station. Modern, calm, close to public transportation. Hotel security is excellent, access is controlled 24 hours, facility accessible only for hotel guests. The team is very attentive, professional, efficient and well trained. Room size is bigger than standard for same hotel category. The hotel is very clean, both the public areas and the room. Bathroom modern and well equipped. I will definitely stay there again next time in the area. Definitely with my recommendations.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr zentraler Lage in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofes. Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt an einer Stadtautobahn, aber mein Zimmer im hinteren Teil war trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Dank der gut funktionierenden Klimaanlage war das Zimmer bei Aussentemperatur von 36' angenehm. Super freundliches Personal und ein zweckdienliches Frühstück. Kostenfreie Parkplätze, saubere Zimmer und gutes WLAN, Fahrstuhl und Barrierefreiheit machen das Hotel empfehlenswert.

I stayed there one night. All perfect. Breakfast not included, but bought for daughter and me, 11€ each. But it’s a full buffet, so worth it. Parking overnight was 9€ but they let us keep the car there till 2pm, so was convenient as downtown shopping was only a 10-15 min walk. Nice parks close by, museum, sculpture garden, etc and if you have kids under 10, a very cool playground. I have zero complaints and would highly recommend to any class of traveller as rates are reasonable. If I were to say anything, it would be lack of a bar to hold on to in the shower, towels a bit small, but ok and single beds should be at least 1.1 or 1.2 m wide, not 90cm in a double twin room. As an adult, hadn’t slept in such a small bed in years! But would still go back! Even my daughter loved it.

Prima location to explore food - Folkwang Museum, Rü Excursions and the city centre in runway, and other destinations well with the outdoors. Practical: Parking for 14 Euros/day directly at the house. Rooms OK, maybe a little bit of hip effort, but this can be age-related taste matter. Extra points for the supernet, superfix, super engaged team at reception!

Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende im Hotel. Angereist sind wir mit 10 Personen, die sich außer der 2 Kinder alle vegan, 2 zusätzlich zuckerfrei, ernähren. Diese Sonderwünsche wurden von der Küche fantastisch umgesetzt. Hervorheben muss man den Service. Alle Menschen, die uns bedient haben, waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, persönlich und hilfsbereit. Hervorheben müssen wir Frau Auerhahn, deren Charme und Freundlichkeit nicht zu überbieten sind. Grundsätzlich ist das Schwimmbad sehr sehr klein, dass sollte man wissen.

Small, privately managed hotels simply have their advantages. Nice new room with two windows and outdoor roller shops. Good furniture, unfortunately the minibar missed yet, but that will surely still be. Since the hotel is relocated from the street, the night was very quiet. Breakfast was really good, the staff engaged, flexible and very friendly. We are happy to come back.

We met the Hotel Residenz in Oberhausen for a weekend in May 2023. The entrance area to the reception was our first pleasant impression of this hotel. Our room was large and comfortable enough for our demands.As we were all over the day, we needed the room only to shower and sleep, so we were very satisfied with the room. The reception was very friendly and helpful, the service was very friendly, breakfast was okay, the hotel parking was free to use. We were satisfied with the residence hotel in Oberhausen, and we would like to recommend it as a hotel in the middle of the city of Oberhausen, continue.

Great hotel situated by the Marina/harbour and ideally placed for the city centre. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable hotel. Excellent and varied choice breakfast buffet. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly. Would have no fears about recommending this hotel.
