Having found your facility somewhat by mistake we were pleasantly surprised and intrigued with our stay. We found your place to be warm and inviting, very well maintained and just beautiful. Part of what made it so enjoyable was the unique nature of the building, rooms and grounds. A true gem hidden in the woods. We have already recommended Talus Rock to several friends.

Loved the stay it was fantastic Only gave 4 star for facilities as I found the kitchen needed to be better equipped with cooking equipment like pans etc but other than that first class loved it

Talus Rock is beautiful and I can't wait to come back next year! It was very cozy and causal and felt very private. Lovely and can't speak highly enough of our experience! We stayed in the Selkirk Room and it was perfect. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, and awesome loft.

This was such a peaceful and beautiful property, and the staff was among the most personable and friendly I’ve ever experienced. Excellent time there!

My husband and I spent our anniversary celebration at Talus Rock Retreat. It was incredible! The staff was friendly and inviting, and the service and a**osphere were excellent. ❤️ I can’t say enough wonderful things about this beautiful place! It was magical. ✨The experience was inspiring! The private chef’s four-course dinner, the couple massages in the tower, the relaxing outdoor hot tub experience overlooking the Cabinet Mountains, the personal breakfast in-bed service; everything was divine! Highly recommend Talus Rock Retreat in Sandpoint, ID to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway. We already want to go back!

Talus Rock was the perfect girls’ weekend getaway for my sister, daughter and I. Just a short drive to Sandpoint for delicious food and a little shopping, then back to the resort for peaceful reading and watching the stars from the hot tub. The staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating. We will go back!

An amazing one of a kind place. Every room is unique. Very comfortable and relaxing. Continental Breakfast was really good, including cold eggs from their chickens and ducks. Service was great. Highly recommend for a get away near Sandpoint.

Went to this resort to spend 3 days/nights with family seeing nice reviews and photos online. We drove from Seattle to Sandpoint during winter to get stuck in this rat hole. The place is nothing like what they promote online and in reviews. We booked 3 nights in their Syringa suite (which was recommended when I called them a week back. They mentioned they have 2 suites with kitchen - Syringa and Nooma and recommended Syringa for a family stay). Realized that we are trapped the moment we entered their place (I have attached all the photos). The room was more like a garage space converted to a room. Room door opens directly to the dining/reception area. Whole suite was messy and the oven even had left over burnt food particles in it. Bathrooms were gross and broken walls had flies and insects coming out. The dishwasher literally teared open with wires hanging out and we were worried about the safety of our puppy and kid. The toaster was no better than a dirty rusty trash can. The bedroom in the suite was so tiny and suffocating. The tiny little wiggly curtains provide no privacy from the parking lot just outside. I had contacted the customer care person over the phone (you are your own during night. There is no receptionist) and explained all the issues. We requested to talk to the owner but to no avail as we wanted to check-out the next day as well and escape from there. Later the text support offered us another Nooma room with a common area from next day. Our family was so upset and disappointed and didn’t want to spend our Chris**as in a place where we experienced such a disaster (paying close to 400$ a night). We declined the offer and checked-out the next day sharing all the photos and issues with the manager onsite in the morning after spending a suffocating little bedroom.. They were generous enough to offer to send a handyman and electrician (and carpenter may be) to the room to fix the issues. We declined the offer to stay in a construction zone during Chris**as and walked away. They did not provide a refund and declined to connect us to the owner saying she is no longer managing operations. Still wondering how they are getting 4 star status and promoting this place as a resort in travel sites. Do yourself a favor staying away from this place and saving your hard earned money.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and got the spa package of 60 min massage and chocolate strawberries. We stayed in the arbor room which was absolutely amazing!! We loved the huge jacuzzi and the double headed tree shower. We were able to roam about the place in our robes(provided in the arbor room) and socks. There’s a hot tub and a sauna! We loved every bit of the place. It was truly the most relaxing experience for my husband and me. We have been to many places and done lots of traveling, and name this top for our experience. Don’t wait to book this place if you want to do something special for your spouse. It’s a dream!!! And quirky too. These people are amazing and recycle things others might not have use for and create something special with them. They have seen poverty and are very resourceful at the talus rock. It was great! Staff was amazing and massages were a dream. Thank you!!
