2 Star Hotels in Dijon

This hotel is simple, clean and the host was fantastic, he spoke English and was fun to deal with and went to great lengths to help. He picked out dinner recommendations for us and showed us what to go and see and helped us out later when we had an access issue with the room. Would definitely come back.

Welcome with the magnificent phrase : “... no no no!! ... I speak only or French or English...” , from the recepcionist who immediately understands our Italian origin, she snooks us information in an English/France at the speed of light ! And I think .. : “better bad that you don't work with foreign tourists, otherwise you should have seen a courteous and pleasant dialogue with them...” .. Ah already : it's an hotel !!!!! FOR EXTRANIER TURISTSIII!!!! And it is not implied that all visitors are graduated in foreign languages to enjoy holidays abroad !!!! It is assumed that the hosts are willing not only to welcome, but also to meet those who speak foreign language in a school way, because they may have done something else in life than learning foreign languages all day!!! However, even in a very bad way, we can pay €9 per head for breakfast, because to ask for Italian money, my English was very good... we can get up in the room. We welcome a very unpleasant smell of mixed moffy painting. Two French double beds and one single bed, minimum living space for 5 people. A bathroom of about 2 m2 squares: without bidets of course, without a vacuum cleaner. 4 power takes, one of which only near beds, a desk, no fridge bar and no closet. Only a suitcase with a stick at the entrance. Viewed on a courtyard in complete abandonment and disappointment, no air conditioning. If it was the last hotel on the planet, I would sleep on the ground.

We booked the hotel over the phone and spoke to a very nice and helpful lady. My girlfriend had injured her back while on holiday so we needed a ground floor room. This was well described and turned out to be just what was required. However, when we arrived her male colleague was on reception and was unwelcoming to say the least. He printed off a bill and I didn't immediately mention the subterranean car park I'd been told about on the phone. When I spoke up about this he tore up the bill in my face and muttered a few words. He printed off another bill, with parking included, and then gave me inaccurate directions to the car park. The following day i was trying to park outside the hotel to collect my injured girlfriend. The 'delightful' gentleman was in a car behind me honking his horn. He knocked on my window and muttered come choice words. When I explained I needed to collect my partner he shouted a few expletives and drove off. Not really what you'd expect when booking a 100€ hotel room.

Plutôt bien pour un hôtel 2*. C'est la première fois que je teste un hôtel de cette chaîne et j'ai été agréablement surpris. Le personnel est très accueillant et sympathique. La piscine est petite, mais elle arrive à point nommé pour se rafraîchir après un long voyage. Le restaurant est bien et le buffet du petit-déjeuner est bien achalandé. Les chambres ont été apparemment restaurées et sont propres et spacieuses. Le seul point noir est la salle de bain qui devrait bénéficier d'un petit coup de neuf.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times. It is conveniently located with good motorway and main road access. The room was OK. for a budget hotel and have been steadily improved over the years. There is is great restaurant across the carpark - excellent dinner at a good price. The big disappointment this visit was the breakfast. As before, it was a simple continental breakfast. This time the croissants were stale and seemed to be from a previous day and the baguette was chopped into thin slices, so that it dried out. The coffee is now from a self-service machine, but tastes ok.

Overvalues Hotel. No. It isn't good for value. The hotel is very old. The rooms look creepy for the lack of better word. You may have to try to understand what i meant. I think i is understand to be a franchise hotel. The bathroom is unclean. The shower curtain wasn't clean. The curtain was torn. The good part is location and the staff was very helpful and trying to help with the room condition but there is nothing they can do. So we make a mistake of booking this hotel by reading the review. But my experiences with the room aren't good.

I always stay here and will continue to do so - but there is a decline in standards. On my last two stays the toilet was stained and not well cleaned, wallpaper had been ripped away in places, property of previous occupants was still in the room and there were broken tiles in the shower room. A slip in standards that could easily be rectified. The location of this Hotel and the friendly staff mean I will continue to use it regularly, but dont let it slip further.

If you want to visit Dijon and the region Bourgogne and to be close to the train station- this is the best hotel to chose. Nice rooms, amazing bar and very tasty restaurant with local Bourgogne dishes. The chef impressed us with - Boeuf Bourguignon - Escargots de Bourgogne - Oeufs en Meurette - Oeufs a l Epoisses - Creme Brulee a l Anis de Flavigny In this restaurant of the hotel you will find all them in the tranquilitty and confort of you hotel.
