Had a very good staycation for 1 night here with my sister. Thank you to the team who arranged the cake and little decorations for my sister's birthday. Truly appreciated it 🙏.
Check in& check out process was smooth. Breakfast was packed , luckily we did go around 8am.
There are 2 things that disappointed us.
1)The bar at the lobby. We asked the staff if we could bring in outside food but we would like to order drinks from the bar. We know that outside food is not allowed but nothing wrong to ask.
The staff informed us no but we saw there is a foreigner family who bought pizza hut sitting at the bar with family.
2) The smell of pillow cases and duvet. All 4 pillows and duvet had a sour smell that didn't fully dry.
Overall was good , 7/10 👍

Room is big (2 queen beds seaview) but looks old and has a damp smell the moment we enter the room. chair has a stain and carpet looks dirty. should provide with better quality bedroom slippers.
Breakfast was ok; could be better in terms of variety. too many sweet stuffs.
Service was excellent. Resolved the smell issue we experienced immediately by placing an air humidifier in the room.
Overall, a little disappointed for the price we paid.

Overall good service. Hotel under going update as some parts showing signs of aging. Nice guestures with the snacks and drinks at the reception.

The sea was clean and beautiful but sadly could not swim , the red flag was there for the entire stay. And we were discouraged to enter sea.

2nd time staying and completely in love with the hotel. Friendly staffs. Pools are all open. Perfect place to relax and wind down. Lovely decorations and cake from hotel for birthday celebration.

Some areas within the resort looks used and needs refurbishment. The hotel provides a surprise for my birthday. There were balloons and congratory words on the mirror and a chocolate cake in the mini fridge.
Appreciate their effort to provide refillable shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Also 4 refilled glass bottled water upon arrival. However when the room was refreshed on the 2nd day, they provided plastic bottles water which we didn't understand why.
As we stayed for 3D2N, and it was raining intermittently, there was not much to do but chill in the room and go to the gym. There were 3 restaurant options within the hotel. Decent food variety with 1. International spread, 1 with seafood and 1 with Italian food.

Westin Desaru had the best value for money, it is spacious enough with 2 pools for usage and has direct walking access to the private beach. Rooms are large and modern, appreciate the friendly service everywhere. Only note was that we had to queue to enter the breakfast place as the hotel occupancy was high. Great quiet and slow paced getaway with friends and family. The hotel was really nice to decorate the room for us as we were celebrating our anniversary ❤️
