4 Star Hotels in Daxin

The hotel is very nice and cosy. The staff mostly is awesome and very friendly. Excellent food at the restaurant and every evening there was a small special thing (bread, soup, etc…). Every evening there was an outdoor fire and cooking in a wood fired oven. The owner is very friendly and ready to help. Food and breakfast are excellent. No western food. For breakfast , there is good coffee available. It is possible to get bread and fried eggs on demand if you don’t like Chinese breakfast. Surroundings are great. You can borrow bikes from the hotel to go around through the rice fields and the mountains. Great place to use a drone if you have one. It was too cold for us but there is a swimming pool on the rooftop with an outstanding view. We visited the Detian water falls and the Gulongshan canyon. To sum up, great place for a family trip or for couples

After many years, I came to Daxin again and stayed at the Vienna Hotel again. I still didn't find the room type with breakfast on Trip.com. Hotel facilities are good, the parking lot is in front of the hotel, can park a lot of cars. The hotel lobby is very big and the room is very big. The room for us is right next to the elevator and the sound insulation is not very good.

The room is super clean and the environment is very quiet. Although it is close to the road, it is not noisy at night or during the day. It is very suitable for a family. There are many types of breakfast and the taste is good. I highly recommend it to friends who are traveling nearby. I personally recommend eating somewhere else before checking in. If you drive, park your car in the parking lot at the entrance of the hotel and notify the butler to pick you up. The butler will inform you of the hotel activities in advance. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, the location is good, the environment is quite beautiful, and the service is also very meticulous, especially the bicycle rental and the bonfire party at night. These two special projects added a lot of fun to our entire journey.

Amazing hotel! It really is more like a resort with a lot of things to discover. Unfortunately, probably due to the current pandemic situation, not everything has been in operation. You got a little nice bar for the occasional long-nighter 😅 there and a restaurant with a huge menu of different meals. The restaurant service has been unbelievable quick to serve the fresh cooked dishes. The hotel itself has been quite clean and the service staff always been helpful. Do not expect anyone speaking English thou. The whole surrounding is taken care of with visible passion and still you feel like in the middle of the jungle. If you got some time to spare, walk around the little village outside the hotel and try to find the small beautiful almost historic part of it, still being actively lived in by the locals. Just please always be respectful and cautious not to disturb them in any way. FYI: if you arrive there by bus from from Nanning (南宁) to DaXin (大新) (the ride itself is absolutely worth it), there are local drivers Infront of the bus station who know how to get to the hotel. Just make sure not to pay more then 250 RMB. Also make sure all your health codes, passports, visas, etc are all in order and quickly handy. After all it is a border region and the are a lot of checkpoints to pass through. That's no time to mess up anything.

Room: You can enjoy the scenery while lying on the bed, which is very chill. The room size is not large, but it is beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Facilities: The swimming pool is clean and beautiful. There is a washing machine, and the front desk helped wash and dry the clothes for us. The only small problem is that there is no parking lot. Parking is on the path in front of the B&B. Environment: There is nothing to say about the surrounding natural environment, it is right next to Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area. It's also convenient to go out to eat. There are many restaurants on the road outside to choose from. Service: Super good! The aunts and ladies at the front desk are very enthusiastic. They will tell us how to play around, what to pay attention to, and bring us water every time we go out. Because we couldn't make it back to check out at the scenic spot at noon, they extended our check out until one o'clock in the afternoon.

The rooms are fully equipped and clean. At first glance, they look good, but there are still some minor problems in actual use. The shower room is ingeniously designed, with no door or shower curtain, and water splashes all over the room after taking a shower. The refrigerator looks useless and the gurgling sound makes me pull out the plug or toothbrush. . . Quite funny. The room is next to the village housing, so it is still a B&B.

The hotel was clean and modern, and every single room has a view of the surrounding karst mountains. The view from the pool is to die for. The food in the restaurant was pretty good, if a bit overpriced. It would be lovely if they also had an English menu, but that's rare in this corner of China, and we managed with rudimentary Chinese and pointing. Be aware that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Other than a small convenience store, there's nothing around. You need a car, scooter or bike to get around. If I had any complaints, it would be that the rooms aren't very well insulated for sound. We could hear everyone who walked up or down the staircase.
