BEWARE! We made a reservation to use this hotel for airport parking and our car was towed while on this property. We were stuck with a $350 towing fee. Upon checking in for our parking reservation, the instructions were to visit the hotel front desk for instructions on where to park. While I checked-in, the receptionist gave me a paper to place on the car dashboard and directed me to the indoor parking garage. I parked in that parking garage and proceeded to take the shuttle to the airport. I learned later that the hotel shares the parking garage with the neighboring office building and there's a specific colored section that's for hotel parking. The receptionist did NOT mention this to me, as I would never purposefully park in a spot where it can be towed. To add, the entire hotel's outdoor parking was being worked out and blocked for parking. So, the hotel was in a pinch for parking spots and they likely prioritized their overnight guests' parking over airport parking and just purposefully did not mention specific sections within the garage to park in. I believe they didn't take their parking lot construction into account and continued to accept all airport parking reservations even though all their indoor parking garage spaces were full. Once we discovered the car had been towed, it took 2 hours to speak with a manager on-site. They claimed he was off-site. The hotel took zero responsibility and offered no compensation. They did drive their shuttle to drop us off at the tow lot (we asked), which was like a $15 uber. Either way, this was a horrible experience and likely to happen again to someone else.

SpringHill Suites Dallas NW Highway at Stemmons/I-35E

Used this hotel as it is close to a Holt Cat dealer and I’m an employee training for the week. It is in a very bad area as other reviewers described but it had a security guard and I was willing to take the risk. Was quoted 139.00 a day and I said that’s good I needed it for the week. Room was nice although the walls were thin and the ac unit sounded like an airplane trying to take off when the compressor kicked in. I did not complain about these things, I realize some things the front desk just can’t control. However when I checked out and asked for a copy of the bill I was shocked to see that the daily charges were 139, 179, 199, 199, and 139. I spoke with the guy at the front desk and he said he didn’t know why but would have the asst manager Jennifer call when she came in Went to class the whole day and got no call. Drove 4 hours home and called and she said Jennifer would be in at 11 pm and would call me in the morning. I called back at 6:30 before her shift ended and she said it was common practice to change the rates daily without people’s consent. I asked since my credit card was charged when I arrive was this not a contract to which she stated it was only a hold put on the card. She then stated I needed to talk to the manager Tim when he arrived back to work on Monday. This is not even my credit card that was charged it was the company’s but it’s about the principle now. The fact that I have to wait 4 days for something to be corrected that should have happened when brought to their attention the first time. There is a major disconnect between the auditors, managers, and customers. Will see how Tim handles this Monday before I write a review on Holts credit card statement that I have to submit, for all of holts company’s to see how Marriott treats its customers.

We have stayed here many times over the last couple of years while visiting our son at SMU. The location can't be beat....and they price gouge because of this, especially for weekends when special events or football games are going on. The website does a very poor job distinguishing between the different types of suites, so you really never know what you are actually going to get when you check in. They could do a much better job at cleaning. It's never been horrible, but the bathrooms do not feel clean and the showers often have an odd sour smell. Also, we have not had good experiences with the quality of the food at the onsite restaurant. I would never choose to stay here if it was not so convenient for our SMU visits.

Element Dallas Love Field

I stayed at the Element in 2019 when it was a new property and had a great experience. It still is on the nicer side and close to Love Field. Room was clean. The Element hotel and adjacent Aloft hotel (it is connected with a common entrance) is in need of a basic refresh in the common areas and hallways. My window shade was broken but overall room was immaculate and great bed. Breakfast was so-so, just a pan of scrambled eggs and sausage patties. No cutup fresh fruit on yogurt bar, just a basket of apples and oranges. No orange juice, but had apple and cranberry. In 2019 they had a chef who made an omelette for you, apparently that is a thing of the past. Was disappointed in the front desk person at the Element, was sitting down with winter hat and jacket on when I checked in, did not get up to greet, performed duties perfunctory. Didn’t offer up any hotel info—breakfast hours, bar hours, fitness center, had to ask. On the Aloft side—one of the receptionists was relaxing on the couch the first night and concentrated on her phone. Next day receptionists (four) seem to be more interested in laughing and joking with each other versus paying attention to customers and duties. Jy example was not recognizing when a van driver was late, though they said to be in the lobby at a specific time he was not. (I needed a ride to Southwest headquarters and had to repeat myself to three different reception hosts as to where I was going. ) Professionalism and commitment to customer service, training, more management oversight definitely needed on property.
Aloft Dallas Love Field

Stayed here for an overnight connection at nearby Love Field. Great location with regards to the airport. I had an early, 6am flight, so staying nearby was nice. Room itself was fine. I typically like the Aloft brand and the rooms, this one was no exception. I had been traveling quite frequently at this point (all Marriott) and this hotel was one of the better when it came to an AC that actually worked... Dallas was in the upper 90s/low 100s so that helped! Good places to eat nearby - I walked over to Chipotle for dinner. Staff at checkin not friendly nor really nor really helpful though. had an issue with the phone in my room and wanted a wake up call to back up my cell phone alarm and the staff was not helpful.. Same person was there at checkout the next morning and not really friendly nor helpful again. I would stay here again though if the price were decent and I was needing to be near Love Field. If you don't need that convenience (like the airport shuttle) maybe look @ staying someplace else.
