Hyatt Place Columbus OSU

We love the location of this property. It’s close to everything yet far enough away that parking is free and easy. The property is clean and the free breakfast is a nice touch. We’ve stayed here before and will be coming back soon.
Hilton Garden Inn Columbus-University Area

I travel to Columbus at least for one overnight stay monthly. I try various hotels but never found one I go back to regularly until my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Columbus - University Area. This is now my monthly business trip hotel. I certainly will bring my family here also when visiting Columbus. The hotel is immaculate with all the usual great amenities. The service at the restaurant is excellent. The lady that prepared my food is such a welcoming ambassador. Food is great and customer service is top notch. The young man at the reception desk couldn't do enough to make sure I had everything I needed and even came around to the hall when he saw me drop my bag. I completely recommend staying here. I came in with a very critical eye since I just experienced my worst hotel experience two weeks prior. Needless to say, it is a great relief to have an 180 degree different experience.

Nice hotel but disappointing room . We were given room 308 and although it seemed comfortable the room lacks a full window shade so the light from outside pours in through the window and makes it hard to sleep. The shower had 3 containers on the wall and I guess who installed them on the wall didn’t pay attention that there 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner so no shower gel. Didn’t make for a good stay. Made mention of these issues at check out and didn’t think the front desk knew what to say about the window issue.
Motel 6 Columbus, Oh - OSU

Motel 6 Columbus OSU…. Olentangy River Road My wife and I had to make an emergency trip to Columbus Ohio, we had a family member in the Riverside Methodist Hospital and needed to stay nearby. As I was looking for a hotel, I was having a hard time finding one (did not know that there was a home game for Ohio State) then I found Motel 6 / Olentangy River Road. As I was reading the reviews, which you have good and bad, I thought I would give it a try. First of all, this is Motel 6, not The Hampton Inn, Hilton or Marriott, so if that’s what you are used to, go stay there. The room was basic nice and clean, and you need to bring your own personal care products. The price was great, and this hotel is in a great location if you need to be near campus or the hospital with many shops and restaurants nearby withing driving or walking distance. Check out Roosters Restaurant/Sports Bar right across the street. Bottom line…. would stay here again and would recommend to anyone that's looking for a hotel with just the basics.
The Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel

(Super Late Post) I'd never been to a hostel before going to the Wayfairing Buckey Hostel. I wasn't sure what to expect but I needed a place to stay for 4 days. Don't get me wrong, there is a possibility that you could have some interesting folks staying there as people are people. I stayed in the room that had a bunk... and another set of rooms off that room. I didn't like that those people had to come through my room to get to their room (which was an attic type bungalow). But I guess that is Hostel Life for the lack of better terms. The people that were there when I was there were really cool and we got to hang out in Columbus. We cooked meals and watched Netflix together (not your typical ”Netflix and Chill” but certainly a humble good time). I actually made a friend from New Zealand that I plan to visit in the future! Overall, the stay was comfortable. Bring your hygiene products (soap, shampoo), your own towels, DISINFECTANT spray (can never be too clean and disinfected in the bathroom), food etc. Like living in a college dorm room.
Comfort Suites

The breakfast was good, the room was quite big and there was a sofa in the room. It takes 7 minutes to get to the bus by public transportation. It is convenient to drive by yourself. Near the road, next to a McDonald's can simply eat
