This hotel is obviously on the less expensive side, and, in terms of hard product, you get what you pay for. That being said, the service is great and they do your best to make you feel comfortable despite the lack of amenities. We booked the larger room, but somehow ********** and the hotel itself were not communicating properly and our room had already been booked. Instead, they put us in a standard room and charged us appropriately. Regarding the room itself, the AC is pointed right at the bed, so it can get a bit cold if left on throughout the night. The sink is not in the bathroom, so that can be slightly inconvenient. However, they did have a hairdryer, fridge, and provided plates/utensils when asked for, so we appreciated the effort there. Location is walking distance from the city center and bus station, as well as a supermarket. Parking is inside a gate with limited spots, but seemed safe enough.

We were so happy to find such a lovely hotel in Valladolid, that was super nice and modern, but was also beautifully combining the Yucatan traditions and symbols. First of all, the name of the hotel was also special and Waye means hotel de aqui. We have stayed in a lovely room at the first floor decorated in a boho Mayan vibe, that was really close to their rooftop pool. I loved spending time there and also in their front garden, surrounded by their gorgeous exotic plants and also by the super tropical bar. The hotel is located super close to the city center of Valladolid and you have by a walking distance el Parque Central and the Monastery of San Bernardino de Siena. There is a lovely pedestrian street, filled with colourful buildings, flowers and shops really close by, that is called Calzada de los Frailes. If you happen to be in the area and want to visit Merida, Chichen Itza and Tulum, this hotel is in the center of all these locations and you can have nice road trips planned in different locations and tourist attractions everyday. They also have a lovely restaurant called Mundo Maya where they serve breakfast in the morning, but you can also have lunch or dinner there. We’ve had some delicious typical Mexican eggs in the morning and decided to stay also for dinner that was also very good. I loved their guacamole and tacos. Save this destination on your wish list because it is so gorgeous and so worth it.

It is a good hotel in this small city....

We spent three days here and were impressed by the size of the room that we had. Good on-site parking (which we needed and one of the reasons we picked this accommodation). The rooms are kept very clean by the maids who do a great job. We found the accommodation to be quite noisy. The building balconies are made of timber and make a lot of noise when being used. Light doors meant that people were slamming the doors constantly. The restaurant on site is handy but it also means that the car park outside the rooms is full of diners cars and noisy till late. Breakfast was Mexican style which was ok. We were disappointed that they didn’t serve tea. We found the location to be quite far from the main town centre and in a not so great neighbourhood. We thought the price was on the high side compared to our other experiences in Mexico.

This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations, it’s like been on jungle. The rooms are very spacious and with all amenities you may need, the outside area has a small pool with sunbeds and a lovely sitting area and an in site cenote. The service is very professional with lovely staff and the restaurant has a very decent menu. Everything we tried was very good. There is also parking provided. We enjoyed our stay very much and is a diamond for the area!

Our stay at Tecnohotel has been great thus far. They keep our room clean, it's safe, parking is the best (which is why we picked this hotel). It's not fancy but has all you need for a few days and very budget friendly. Note there is no fridge but that is fine cause their is a Restaurant on premises that opens at 7am where you can grab an coffee and breakfast before you explore for the day. We're here for 4 nights and our plans has been to explore the cenotes/ruins in the nearby area. Not so much experience the city thought it is cute and I love the food/vibe here. The restaurant Tecnohotel is great and much better than I expected for a hotel restaurant. Food is tasty and fresh, we've been going multiple times! My partner and I have been ordering club sandwiches that we share in the morning and it's more than enough food to go out and explore. They also give you complimentary toast with your food order. Our server, Marcelino, was attentive, efficient and overall just a great server. Has all the qualities you want. He spoke English too which was also super helpful. The restaurant also opens at 7am which is more than enough time to eat before all the exploration activities open, and you definitely want to eat before you go explore.
