After arranging the free travel itinerary, I have been looking forward to the overnight stay in Qingjifang. It really does not disappoint. More, there are constant surprises everywhere. It also makes people feel like they are home, relaxed and comfortable. I am very grateful to the owner of Qingjifang for planning it. It provides such a great environment to the guests, the food is top-notch, and the service staff are also very kind. Highly recommended~
Tiny 10-room establishment that is best thought of as an annex to the Daiichi next door; you can use the bigger brother's facilities, such as the onsen, but not vice versa. We booked the entry-level room, #256, a 'mountain-facing' 40m2 western-style twin bedder with an outdoor terrace. I thought I should share more about the room, since there's not much info otherwise about them, here and on the website. Although the room is in the lead-in category, it's spacious, with a separate living area, and a bathroom with separate toilet, sink and shower/bath zones. The bathroom contains a lovely cypress bath, which fills (quite rapidly I might add) with the moor spring water the area is famous for (and not just heated tap water). It feels as if the 40m2 does not include the outdoor terrace space. Speaking of which, although the website says that the terrace is unavailable during winter, fact is that the door remains unlocked, and we were told that we could go outside to smoke if we wished. There's an aroma therapy burner and a CD player and you could borrow discs from the lobby. A few things to nitpick about the room. There are no power sockets near the bed at all. Keeping your phone charged or near your bed: pick one or the other. There's also not much of a view from the terrace. It overlooks the carpark, and beyond that, the main road and some farmland. I believe the rooms on the other side of the corridor would get the lovely views of the garden. Service was pretty good. A few things stood out: we had to leave the hotel early after our second (and last) night, but breakfast starts only at 7:30. We emailed ahead to ask if we could eat earlier, but they apologetically couldn't oblige. They did, however, arrange for us to have the buffet breakfast at the Daiichi next door, which starts at 6:45. The lady who tended the bar was also very friendly and engaging, and taught us how to solve the various puzzles they had provided as amusements for guests. Preprandial drinks are free. Finally, the concierge helped us take care of some restaurant bookings, even though they were for outside of our stay. What wasn't that great: nobody was watching the entrance, so when we arrived by car, we had already unloaded all our bags before someone noticed and came out to help. During the Sairinka festival, there's a shuttle bus, shared among various hotels, that leaves from the driveway of the Daiichi at roughly 20:00, with two return journeys at 20:30 and 21:00, if I recall correctly. Sanyoan comes at quite a premium over its sister establishment, and while I liked the intimacy of Sanyoan and otherwise enjoyed my stay, I am not sure if I wouldn't pick the Daiichi the next time I come to Tokachigawa Onsen.
The hotel is pretty big with 3 wings (building) linked together with plenty of car parking lots. The hotel looked dated but well maintained. There’s a shopping gallery @ lobby. Check in/check out is Smooth n fast. A female receptionist can speak mandarin (话语)maybe a Chinese descendent?
There is nothing much to see and eat in the vicinity. It will b good to go for half board (dinner n breakfast), n to use the onsen before n after dinner, n before breakfast. The onsen is pretty big with a few indoor pools n a outdoor pool, all of good hot spring quality. The tatami room is spacious clean n need. There is good choices of food n desserts @ dinner n breakfast.
We stayed on a cheap tour around the hot springs in East Hokkaido. It's a fairly old building, but it's in good condition. It's not luxurious, but since it's the Tokachi River, which is famous for balloons, there are balloon patterns from carpets on the floor to yukata. The room is a large Japanese-style room, so I could relax slowly. I can't see the view from the room, but I feel like I'm in the forest of Hokkaido. Although it is a large hotel, the large communal bath is also large in proportion to that, so I was able to take a bath without stress. The hot spring water was good enough to seem to be the Tokachi Gawa river. The meal was buffet style in the hall, but there are many kinds of dishes, and in the live kitchen, freshly fried tempura and freshly baked steak are cooked more and more. There are many sashimi, and it's fun to make your own kedon. I was also surprised that all-you-can-drink alcohol was cheap. There is also Secomat in the neighborhood, which is very convenient. It was just the time of autumn, so I went there, but it took less than 10 minutes to walk. Autumn Festa itself is not a big deal, but I could buy local azuki beans and Kintoki beans at a reasonable price. I don't know the exact price because it's a tour, but it's a good hotel with a good cost performance.
Great service, nice view, good shop and super Japanese food. This hot spring resort is collocated with another large hotel (and perhaps some other smaller ones) about 5 miles outside Obihiro. The view of the river area and bridge from the rooms is very nice and relaxing. We were in a corner deluxe room that afforded plenty of space for 3 adults. It also provided a private in-room onsen style bath on our balcony, very useful for younger westerners who may have tattoos and are banned from using the hotel’s large public baths. Meanwhile we tattoo-free elders enjoyed the infinity public hot spring fed baths. We opted for a Japanese food plan where breakfast and dinner meals are prepared in front of us and served privately to our small party of 3 - excellent. On our last morning, we opted to use the breakfast buffet instead, which was okay, but a mistake on our part as the private meal was better. The onsen area is removed from the city. We walked along the river and back up the hill behind the hotel. There is a mini-mini-mall close by that has souvenirs and a few food options, we had lunch there.
Last year 12 months. The corona vortex is also breathing, and Hokkaido people and otofuke are available in double, so I decided to go to Kangetsuen in Tokachigawa Onsen. Because there is a discount, the meal was made to be a course of Japanese food in the renovated and wide river side room. The quality of the spring of Tokachigawa Onsen is a world-class valuable plant spring called mall hot spring. It is one of my favorite hot springs because it is very soft hot water around the skin. Basically, the Japanese food course was arranged a little western style, and it was delicious, and the cozy room of the newly renovated room was good. The room had a wide terrace, from there the Tokachi River flowed in front of you, and the mountains of the Hidaka mountains 々 with snow in the back were clean.

GGuest User Last year 12 months.
GGuest UserIt was a double room, but the room was larger than I expected and the washroom was large and easy to use. Tap water was also available as drinking water. The hot springs are also beautiful and easy to use. You can drink milk as a welcome drink. It seems that they are actively purchasing and behaving to the guests to drink it. The location was a little far from Obihiro city and it was quiet and very easy to spend. The hot spring was also good. I would like to use it when I come to Obihiro again!
TTANThe hotel is pretty big with 3 wings (building) linked together with plenty of car parking lots.
GGuest UserWe stayed on a cheap tour around the hot springs in East Hokkaido.
