There were issues at check-in with payment from Trip.com and our rooms were in separate areas despite us requesting rooms in the same building. Upon asking multiple times we finally got a room nearby but the toilets were not working and we had to call for assistance multiple times which was always delayed.

We have been to the Heritage many times before and it never disappoints it is like coming back to see family. There is always a warm welcome on arrival and from that point on, nothing is too much trouble. Since our last visit ( 2023) there has been refurbishment in the hotel, spa and around the pool. All these areas look much lighter and brighter. The balconies are small but the rooms are spacious with a lovely power shower. The beds are large and comfortable and the rooms cleaned to a high standard daily. We stay on an all inclusive basis and Chutneys the buffet style restaurant serves tasty and well presented meals. There is plenty of choice and if you can’t see anything you fancy they are more than happy to oblige. The service from the waiters is prompt and friendly. We had a “ special meal “ one evening and were treated like royalty throughout. If you fancy a change there are two onsite restaurants not included in the all inclusive but reasonably priced. There are also snacks served throughout the day by the pool which also has a well stocked bar serving drinks and Sherwin is a whizz on the cocktails. Sun-beds can be an issue unless you are an early riser. The animation team have an interesting and varied programme throughout the day and whilst they try and involve everyone they are not overly pushy. We always join in the morning games, they are fun and it gets you talking to people. Evening entertainment every night and if you don’t fancy it there are quieter bar areas. The outside gala evenings give you a different dining experience plenty of choice and atmosphere. We visited the spa on a couple of occasions and found the staff to be professional and maintained your dignity throughout the massages. Be sure to visit John the onsite jeweller who offers bespoke, hand made jewellery very reasonably priced. All the staff whatever grade / job are very courteous and really make you feel like a valued guest. The hotel is very old, which gives it some old school charm. There were lots of families and travellers staying on the resort. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. The pool was great for an afternoon swim. Fresh clean towels and bedding daily. Staff is most helpful. There is no restaurant onsite - but food deliveries are easy. Taxi & scooter hire was available. Central and easy to get around. Beaches are close nearby.

Lovely peaceful retreat. Excellent food. Comfortable accommodation. Friendly helpful staff - Ruchika is superb. Took a couple of nights away from the beach to do some birding in Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary- found this place on google- what a find. Sitting in the gardens, the birds come to you and saw plenty to keep us occupied! You can go exploring further - they do trips from the place- but we just wanted to chill. BYO this year- fridge in room.
