Chang Khlan Chiang Mai|0.12km from Duang Tawan Condominium
Needed a place in Chiang Mai for 4 nights. Didn't care about luxury but didn't want the cheapest place I could find either. Came across this on Agoda and thought it might be worth a try. It's 150 Baht ride from The Chiang Mai Airport. I arrived Check in Was quick and easy. The room is immaculate. Small but very clean. Great bed flat screen TV many many channels. The air condition is fantastic. It's a hostile but it also has. Individual rooms Which is what I booked. It's unbelievable value. 22.50 a night. They don't advertise free breakfast. But they have a common area just behind reception. With a big screen TV and it's got a full kitchen that everybody is welcome to use. If you clean up after yourself, they have all the utensils. They do have a small breakfast in the morning, which is free to everybody who stays here. Although they don't advertise. It waffles cereal coffee tea toast. Basic But very nice. They also have four or five bicycles that are available free of charge to use which is a tremendous perk. There are a couple of negatives but based on the value for money. I can work around them. Number one no room safe number two When you take the key card out when you leave the room the refrigerator also loses electricity. First I've seen this most hotels I've stayed at. Had the refrigerator socket wired to stay hot, even when the key card was out. And it would be nice if they had a chair. In the room nothing fancy just a basic chair. Should I find myself in Chiang Mai again? I will definitely use this hotel again. The staff here are very very friendly. From the reception to the room cleaners everyone always smiling willing to help out answer any questions. Making sure everybody has a nice day. I can't recommend this place enough.

Positives: -Safe -Fridge -AC -Fan -Room is clean -No bugs like mosquitos or ants in the room. Decent location right off Loi Kroh Road -10 minute walk to Ta Phae Gate and the Night Market in either direction. Negatives: -Room walls are paper thin, you can hear other guests, especially when doors are open and closed at night. -Requested a taxi to the airport from the hotel and was overcharged by 1.5 times what they originally said and what Bolt was quoting (no Bolt drivers were available). Overall, it’s a good value hotel if you are paying under $15 a night. Chiang Mai has a ton of similarly priced rooms throughout the city.

”The Locals” Chiang Mai freshly opened half a year ago as a very special and modern place. We were amazed by the team especially Aneg who became a friend to us over the few days we had. He is a fabulous host with great insights about Chiang Mai but also wonderful and sympathetic guy. THE HOTEL: The reception area where also breakfast is served creates a beautiful atmosphere and has a beautiful design. We found it a sweet touch hanging little nets of candies at the reception desk you could take anytime we wanted. THE BREAKFAST: For breakfast you can chose between 6 warm, freshly served meals such as scrambled eggs, fried rice or Pad Thai. Coffee, tea and water are available all day. THE ROOMS are very modern and clean with fridge and daily water. SIGHTS/ SURROUNDING: Food markets and the famous saturday market are within a 800m distance and easily reachable by foot. So called ”red cabs” are available all over the city. Depending on the distance you can go with them at a minimum fee of THB 30. Just wave at them, ask for the price and off you go. We can highly recommend this place and would stay there whenever we return. Thank you for an especially memorable and truly local experience!!

Very good, old Thai style hotel. Quiet and tidy! The air conditioner is super cool and hot water is enough. The front desk is very welcoming and will say hello to ask if you need to clean the room. But the bed sheets in the room are old-fashioned with a yellow blanket on them. The requirements are too high and it is not recommended to live. The age is here. But the location is convenient, and motorcycles can be parked at the door. The alley is very lively ~

The room design is very fashionable. Staff have very good service and are super enthusiastic. It is very close to the ancient city and night market, about 10 minutes.

The place is really nice. I love all the plans holding around the walls it make you feel in a good relation with nature. Beds are really comfortable with light and electric plug. They clean every day the place is always clean and organize. You are also available to use the electric stove and microwave. Water is free to drink and the breakfast is lovely the best I have in a hostel. Eggs, coffee tea, frut, bread ham, peanut butter, and some days a local dish! They have wash machine to wash your clothes for free just you have to buy the soap. Imp! it doesn't Dry your clothes. (We say a lady making a big show because the FREE wash machine didn't dry her clothes. Jaja) Preee the lady who help them is amazing she is Always smiling and helpful. Also the young guy at the reception. And in my last stay a young guys from the reception give us the info to get to the airport. The boos is really nice as well. He is also making sure your stay is enjoyable. My recommendation for you as a client is to learn a bit or Thai because you are in a and other country who don't have to speak your language and we can't be mad at them if we can not explain our self there. At least is your phone to try to communicate. Smile be kind and Enjoy the place.
