Poshpacker Flipflop Youth Hostel (Taikoo Li Chunxi Road Metro Station)

This is the worst hostel I’ve been staying in my life. I saw the rating was good and pictures posted by host were very clean n comfy, but it wasn’t in reality. The hostel was dark in lighting, dirty and old as well. Their storeroom was at the aisle of your hostel room. Aisle is for emergency exit but they store things over there. Me and my sister travel together and we get serious injuries. We and doctor strongly doubt that it is caused by hostel’s hygiene. Both of us sleep with shorts and our legs is full of wound. WOUND that will have SCARS in the future. We did contacted trip.com to inform hotel for some compensation but hostel disagreed with this. We only reported this incident after we left our hostel because China’s clinic state that it was allergic but when we went back to our country, doctor said that it’s due to hostel’s hygiene not allergies. Even we didn’t get any injuries, I would rate this hotel very very low too. The only nice things of this hostel is near to metro station. They didn’t noticed us they will shut off water for some purpose. I was in the toilet halfway and this happened to me. My sister asked the staff and they said they announced in group, but since we checked in they didn’t let us to join any group chat. Not only us encounter this, others too and the front desk doesn’t understand English and don’t know how to reply the western foreigner. It’s been a week and wound still there, hostel doesn’t want to take responsibility of our injuries caused by their hostel’s hygiene. If you are planning to book this hostel please think twice. 这是至今为止住过最烂的旅店了。看见评分蛮高加上旅店照片看起来很新颖干净所以就订了这家。到了旅店人差点没了🤕。走廊是紧急通道，他们竟然把走廊当储物间。旅店的卫生整洁让我和我姐都严重的被感染了。我们是穿着短裤睡觉的，床的不干净导致我们的脚满是红痕和水泡。起初我们到附近的诊所就诊，说是过敏。但是吃了药和上了药都没有好转。回国后看了医生说极大的可能是旅店的卫生问题导致而不是过敏。因为我们是穿着短裤睡觉所以脚很严重。严重到医生说会留疤。旅店对此不想负任何责任，说我们一开始没投诉。但是确切的原因是我们离开后才得知的，怎么能在不确定时投诉呢？此外旅店的无故停水也让人很头疼。我在厕所突然没水，我姐问了工作人员说是在群里有说。但是我们从入住以来旅店并没有告知我们进入任何聊天群。不止我们不知道，还有洋人前来询问，但是由于前台人员不会英语最终沟通失败。这次的成都之旅严重的被这家旅店破坏了。我们的脚至今没有痊愈，还得自负大笔的医药费，甚至脚上还会留疤。此外这严重的影响我们出门和上班因为它很痒，会让人一直不舒服。工作上的耽误又要怎么交代。这家旅店真的真的很踩雷。在这里劝请要订这家旅店的大家三思而后行。这家旅店唯一的好处是靠近地铁站，没有其他了。后来看过一次评价，发现之前有很多人评价肮脏只是被近期的好评覆盖而已。

Very clean, comfortable and spacious dorms, a great location (within 20-25 minuets walk of Renmin Park and with plenty of restaurants around) and very helpful and friendly staff (particularly Lucy, who helped my book tickets to the Panda Breeding Base) who speak excellent English — this is pretty much the ideal hostel. It also has a nice common area and a lovely cafe/bar on the roof. This hostel is definitely a top pick for staying in Chengdu, especially with such a great price.

A very nice and comfortable place to stay for traveleres. The staff are friendly and helpful and they also have lota of information and groupa for tourist.

Highly recommended. The hotel is clean and safe. Staffs are fluent in English and are super friendly. Good location near the metro at the city centre around the travel hotspots such as Taikoo Li and Tianfu Square. And the rooftop bar/coffeehouse is very good with fine choices of drinks and hospitable vibes. It might be a bit hard to find at first, look for the FlipFlop hostel sign. You have to walk past a park first then the entrance is located just behind the market.

I had a great stay. Everything is perfect for us. The staffs can speak english. Perfect location.

This hotel is very good. It has everything to decorate the house. The mattress is very good. Especially the front desk staff Cheyanne is very enthusiastic, very helpful and very hospitable to make you feel at home.

My sister and I have really enjoyed our wonderful stay in Chengdu, and largely due to a wonderful stay experience at this hostel. Chayenne and Zoey have been incredibly kind and helpful. Just ask them for some tips and they will be sure to give you some really nice recommendations, and I would say they have carried the vibe of the hostel well. Oh ya, don’t forget to try out the Sichuan opera, best decision ever. The room is nice and neat, pleasant stay. We had some issues with our first room, and was given a new room immediately. Oh ya, the housekeeping aunties are very nice too, try talking to them, they are real sweet. Do try their coffee bar at the rooftop too, Aloha coffee and Waikiki Beach coffee are my favourite.

Location: very goooood, can walk to Taikoo Li, and Chun Xi. A few step walk to Cosmo department store Restaurants: lots of restaurants surrounding Hotel has laundry and dryer machines ***I lost my Apple Watch ⌚️ and hotel keep it for me Very much appreciated 🙏

I was only here one night. This is truly one of the most atmospheric hostels in Chengdu, even though I was only here for one night. This is a large hostel, several floors and many, many rooms. The staff is very friendly and nice and all speak english. Clean bed linen, it was comfortable to sleep. Close to the metro and the center, there is a nice bar on the roof where you can relax. There is a small fruit market just outside the hostel. This is a great place to stay.
