There is an alley walk in that takes about 8 to 10 mins to get into the mansion. The place is well maintained with good hygiene but got to be aware of mosquitoes as the area can be damp during rainy season.

The hotel is located within the ancient city walls, and the parking lot is about 800 meters away. It would have been better if the hotel offered a shuttle service. We're a family of three, and we booked a loft room, which was great because the two levels offered independent and private spaces. The only minor downsides were having just one bathroom, and its frosted glass door didn't have a lock. The toiletries were generic, without any specific scent. The hotel itself was quiet, a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It was very convenient for exploring the ancient city, with various attractions easily accessible through the alleyways. However, the commercial offerings on Paifang Street were too homogenous; aside from the modern-era archways, the snacks were all pretty much the same and lacked any distinct character.

The hotel is conveniently located right at the entrance of the old town, making it easy to get around on foot. The environment is elegant, clean, and hygienic, and the front desk service is very thoughtful. The only minor downside is that the hairdryer in the room is quite weak; it takes over half an hour to mostly dry my hair.

Decent size room and service was excellent. Walking distance to paifang street hence plenty of food options all day long. Washer n dryer for guest.

Really liked this Siheyuan (courtyard house). It's a great spot for photos. You can reach the pedestrian street in a 5-minute walk by turning left. However, getting to Guangji Bridge takes about 15-20 minutes. If you're with elderly people, they'll need to walk slowly to get there.

This B&B is located within the ancient city walls, and the ambiance is superb – very peaceful and quiet. The staff were excellent; they even helped us retrieve our luggage from the designated parking area. Plus, the B&B itself is incredibly photogenic!

Booked for my dad and sister. We got three rooms for a family and friends trip, and gave the best one to my parents. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated, with high ceilings in the living room. Although it's an old building that's been renovated, the soundproofing was surprisingly good. We could move between floors without disturbing each other, yet still be close enough to help out. It's conveniently located; you can walk to Guangji Bridge, and even to Kaiyuan Temple without much effort. My parents absolutely loved the decor here and gave it high praise!

We had to park at the nearby helicopter base parking lot and walk a few hundred meters. But honestly, strolling through the ancient city's alleys on the way was quite enjoyable. I particularly loved having a private courtyard; it felt like our own little sanctuary, and the kids could play without disturbing anyone. My best friend and I spontaneously decided to visit Chaozhou, and we booked this guesthouse on the same day. It's right in the heart of the ancient city's Paifang Street, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Parking was easy too, just a few minutes' walk from a lot about 500 meters away. The guesthouse itself has excellent facilities, and everything is very tastefully done. The staff were warm and attentive, and the place was spotless. Honestly, the whole experience was even better than a five-star hotel. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay served by friendly staff. It's a refurbished historical site hidden in the small alley, which is so different from staying in a common hotel. What a unique experience.

Our first night in Chaozhou was spent in this ancient mansion, located right within the old city. It felt like we were staying in an architectural museum! Besides the comfortable room, the common areas were beautifully designed with rich landscaping. They even provided explanations about the architectural details and courtyard design. The walls were adorned with old photos and maps of Chaozhou. The hotel is conveniently located next to Paifang Street and a school, so you hear the lively buzz of tourists and the sound of students studying echoing through the alleyways.

The hotel was very clean, and the entire room was equipped with Xiaomi smart devices. The guesthouse staff were super friendly and helpful. It's really close to Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge, practically right next door. I'd definitely stay here again next time.
