It served the purpose but the service and breakfast was very limited. The cleaning service kept things like used towels on the floor of the public corridors.

The hotel location is great because it is in front of the old bridge. They do not have a parking lot.

Wonderful, unforgettable stay.

The location is absolutely unbeatable - stepping out the front door, I was practically at the gates of the medieval city. The evening stroll along the ramparts with the hotel’s illuminated facade in view was magical. My room was spacious and comfortable, with that perfect balance of modern amenities and traditional charm. Excellent breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sowell Hotels Les Chevaliers. We booked a Deluxe room with a terrace and a view of the medieval fortress of Carcassonne, and we definitely did not regret it. At night, the fortress was beautifully illuminated, and the view from the terrace was absolutely stunning. The room itself was very nice. Even though it was -3°C outside, the room was warm thanks to the heating, and it felt very comfortable and cozy. Sleeping was also very comfortable. The room was quiet, and we did not hear any noise from other guests. We booked the room with breakfast. Breakfast was served as a buffet, with a good variety of food, all tasty and fresh. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent well priced tapas

I would expect a 4* hotel to have better facilities, such as a kettle and fridge in the room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom needed refurbishment.

Lovely hotel. Staff attentive. Housekeeping was very try good. Didn’t try the restaurant or breakfast but smelt good :) Room had a balcony which was an added bonus

The hotel has a fantastic location, close to the castle and a 20-minute walk from the castle area. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. The room has air conditioning, which is a welcome relief on such a hot day. Because it's a view room, you can see the sunset over the castle from your room, making it well worth the trip.

The view was nice, with a direct view of the castle. However, everything else was just average or poor. First, there was the issue of room cancellation. We booked two nights, but a storm hit near Carcassonne, the train was cancelled, and they wouldn't refund the room. Initially, we thought it was a storm between Lyon and Carcassonne, which seemed understandable. However, upon arrival, we discovered the storm was just a short distance south of Carcassonne, yet they still wouldn't refund. The platform eventually resolved the issue (thankfully we booked through Ctrip, otherwise we would have wasted a night, which I'm very grateful for, but it wasn't the hotel's fault). Second, the facilities were terrible. Having stayed in so many hotels, this was the first time I'd seen a mattress that collapsed. The pillows were actually throw pillows, which were uncomfortable to sleep on. The door from the room to the balcony was broken, and the balcony led to other rooms, meaning people in the next room could easily enter my room. Luckily, no one was in the next room. The refrigerator seemed broken too; our ham was only warm to room temperature the next day. Finally, the location. The location is excellent, situated between the bus station, train station, and castle. The castle is clearly visible, and getting to the station is very convenient.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, across from the Carcassonne Castle, and within walking distance. The sanitation is OK, clean and simple, but just ordinary without any surprises, not even a mini bar, and can't be compared with hotels in the north.

The environment is nice. Facing the Carcassonne Castle, the view is beautiful. The breakfast is average.

It's a great hotel. It has a good location, it's in the middle of the two areas to visit. It has a varied breakfast buffet and it's very good, you come out quite full. The room they gave us had a view of the castle and a little terrace to relax on, but the cold didn't let us enjoy it. It's very spacious. The only detail is that the pillows are very soft, but otherwise, it's great. Great service, very attentive. There are staff who knew how to speak Spanish.
