Lovely hotel in a beautiful area. All the staff were amazing, particularly reception and restaurant staff. Reception staff were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and multi lingual. Very clean in all areas. Public areas are beautifully decorated but bedrooms are a little basic. Beds are comfortable and shower was wonderful. Missed having a kettle in the room though. Wifi in bedroom was not great and air con did not seem to work properly. Breakfast was OK but more hot choice and some hard boiled eggs would have been nice. Really enjoyed dinner. Lots of salad choices, soup and really tasty pasta, probably the best lasagne I have tasted. Main course was varied and well cooked with 2 meat and a fish choice. Potatoes were really nice but only one hot vegetable dish accompaniment on offer. Desserts were to die for including tiramasu, choux buns and fruit tarts. Some were not always fully defrosted. Free wine and water at dinner was very appreciated. Walk to Cannegione along the coast took about 30 mins but was a really picturesque walk. Not a lot of public transport available as was low season. There was a community bus stop outside the hotel for buses about 4 times a day but these were a big unreliable so a car is really needed. Did a lovely 8 hour boat trip from Cannegione Harbour. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

If you’re unsure I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Excellent value for money!! The most friendly, helpful staff, towels changed & rooms made up daily, so a very clean feeling throughout. Food is absolutely spot on, hot & cold breakfast options, lots of fresh fruit. Dinner had a cold buffet station plus pasta and a choice of 3 meat/fish. Deserts were delicious cakes & fresh fruit plus limitless red or white wine (chilled). If you want to see more of Sardinia I would recommend cat hire (hotel has free parking)

Had a lovely holiday at the Laconia Hotel. Was a bit daunted at first because there was nothing much in the area, and it was predominately italian tourists. However the beach was nearby and lovely. The village of Cannigione was 2 Kms away and had lovely bars and restaurants. There was a little bus to take you there and bring you back for only 1 euro 30c. However it was a nice walk along the coast so we usually walked back. The food in the hotel was amazing. Salads of all varieties, pasta, steak, fish, barbecue ribs etc. different meat every day. Delicious desserts too. Tiramisu, rum baba . Efficient waiters cleared dishes promptly. Wine on tap, and water. Breakfast was good too, no complaints. Entertainment was all in Italian so not for us. But there was a guy on the keyboard who played some nice music that we danced to. Rooms small but very clean, and comfortable beds. We had a big balcony which gave us some extra space. Overall, would recommend.

We have just returned from a really lovely weeks half board stay at Laconia Village. It’s a great hotel - consisting of numerous 2-storey blocks, set in beautifully kept gardens. Our room was basic, but spotlessly clean. Clean sheets and towels were provided daily. The food was plentiful, with something new to try each night. If you enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet, then this is your place! The majority of folks eat inside a large dining hall which can get quite noisy - but it’s also possible to eat outside on the terrace (quieter, but not without mosquitoes!) I’d say 95% of guests were Italian, so it feels very unspoilt and authentic. We found our week very relaxing, but I’m aware that the Italian children had just gone back to school, so it was possibly quieter than usual. We’d be more than happy to book Laconia Village again.

This is going to be a bad review and as seen on the other ones, the hotel response is always going against the customer. It never takes its responsibilities and doesn’t understand the critics, but i don’t think these reviews were made up so you better start listening to the bad reviews of your customers. We arrived at the airport in Olbia which is at least 40 minutes away from the hotel. The taxi service is very very bad and very expensive. We paid more than 100€ for a 40 minutes drive. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30pm and the staff told us that we could go to dinner which is by the was from 19:30 to 21:00 which is not very long for a hotel this big with that many people. The food was not as we expected the Italian food to be. The meat was dry and the pasta were over cooked. Furthermore the appetisers weren’t marked so we had zero information about what it contained and as an allergic person it was very inconvenient. It was also always the same food and salads every evening, very disappointing. We took also some fruits and it was the most disgusting I ever ate. At 21:00 we were chased away from our table because the service was over. We understand that there is a "timing" but as this one is kind of short we thought that we could at least stay at our table and chat but that wasn’t even possible. The breakfast isn’t better at all. Small and always the same. The coffee is served in a machine that you can find in a railway station and the juice are disgusting and not fresh at all. We even got sick after it. As it is a buffet, you have to go serve yourself, which is okay until our table was cleaned off as we were still eating and only got up to go take a croissant. So totally careless. About the room, it’s very small and uncomfortable. Looks like a cave. The bed is two mattress put together but when you move just a bit it separates totally so we could sleep at all. We were also astonished that we didn’t even have a bottle of water in the room as it was 35 degrés outside. We had to wait the day after, as we arrived late, to drink just a glass of water. Also, every morning, we had to go take the toilet paper rolls ourselves because it was never given when the room was cleaned by the staff. I find that very careless and without consideration for your costumers to let them take care of the toilet paper otherwise they can’t even go to make their business. We also didn’t expect this much children and this much noise. It wasn’t relaxing at all. There is none activity to do in the area unless you rent a car which is 70€ per day. The service was ok, but none of the staff had a smile on their faces. They were just doing their job but nothing more. For sure it is not a four stars hotel even if they say they check all the criteria. Hope the hotel sees some of their inconvenience and works on it.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay with Jet2 at the Laconia Village hotel and would recommend this hotel for its great location, good food and friendly staff. As others have said, this hotel is more of a 3 star than a 4 star rating due to the basic and small rooms that are in need of refurbishment, but the reception, pool, restaurant areas and gardens are of a good standard. This area of Sardinia is stunning, with fantastic beaches, luxury resorts and some interesting archeological sites nearby. If you have children they will enjoy the Aquadream waterpark and the boat trip you can book to the Maddalena islands. Location - The best thing about this hotel is the location. There is a bus stop just behind the hotel that offers journeys to other resorts, attractions and beaches. We took the blue coach bus to Baia Sardinia, Aquadream Waterpark, Porto Cuervo, Capriccioli beach, and the small white bus can take you to Arzachena for the weekly market and to the archeological sites at Malchittu. Ask the reception staff for an up-to-date bus timetable for both buses as the one on the bus stop is from 2020. You can also walk to Cannigione from the hotel via a path that runs along the coast. This only takes about 20 minutes and will lead you to the nearest supermarkets, beaches and restaurants. If you walk up the hill from the hotel, there are more larger beaches such as Tanca Manna and Mannena. There is a ticket office near to the hotel where you can purchase tickets for the boat trip to the Maddalena islands Restaurant and food - We particularly enjoyed having the same table to eat at each evening which avoided any scramble for seating in a busy area. The staff in the restaurant are excellent and very friendly, even greeting guests each evening at the start of dinner service. There are a lot of options for food, with a meat/fish counter, a pasta selection and a large salad area each evening. The breakfast choices are continental items such as cold meats, cheese, pastries etc and lack 'english' breakfast items such as sausage, bacon, eggs etc. The hotel is not close to any supermarkets so getting water is a problem. The hotel only sells large bottles of water at 3 EUROS per bottle, so stock up in Cannigione supermarket. Pool area - the pool is spotlessly clean and quiet. I was surprised to see that most guests don't seem to use it, and there were usually empty loungers when we did go there. You have to wear a swimming cap in the water and the water is quite cold. I suspect most people preferred to walk to the local beaches for warmer water and the stunning scenery rather than sit by the pool. Entertainment - the one downside to this hotel is the lack of evening entertainment after dinner. There are kids clubs and some activities that run in the daytime, but after dinner the guests desperately need some family shows from 9pm. The hotel has a large stage and seating area across the street, but this is hardly used. There were one or two 'variety/comedy

We are a family of six adults and four children, and we have just returned from our stay at Laconia Village Hotel. Having read some recent poor reviews before we arrived, we were somewhat concerned, but we needn’t have worried as we were very satisfied with the facilities and excellent location of the Hotel. Our rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, the air conditioning worked extremely well, and the shower was always hot. We were allocated a table for the whole family for the duration of the stay which was good as there was a bit of a rush when the doors opened for dinner, and you were able to start queuing for food instead of for a table whatever time you arrived. Jugs of sparkling and still water and red and white wine were available with our board deal. The food was good with plenty of choice of pasta dishes, meat, fish and chicken dishes, salads, and desserts. The entertainment team were friendly and enthusiastic. All the entertainment is in Italian, but this did not stop us from taking part in a music and dance competition and our granddaughters enjoyed a darts match. Cannigione the nearest town with a Supermarket, Pharmacy, Restaurants and shops is a 20-minute walk away. If you are stocking up on water, you may want to plan your visit around the local infrequent blue bus schedule. It is well worth a visit there in the evening when the place comes alive and there is the added appeal of the nightly Tourist market from 9pm to 1am. The timetable for the blue bus is available from reception and we used this bus service many times to visit some of the other beautiful beaches and the Aquadream Water Park in Baja Sardinia. The bus stop is right outside the Hotel and fares are 2 euros for a short journey and up to 3.50 euros for a long journey. Please note the timetables displayed on the Bus stop are out of date. We cannot finish this review without mentioning how much we were impressed by all the Jet2holidays team from the moment of booking and throughout the holiday.
