We enjoyed very much our 2 night stay. The team goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Very attentive. Hacienda Campeche has all the facilities you expect from a small city boutique hotel. They organised a special dinner for us at the front porch of the hotel, which was a very pleasant experience. We will come back.

Of all the hotels we stayed in in Mexico, the Hacienda Campeche is a standout. The hotel is in a beautiful location, just inside the city walls but at the end of Calle 59 which is the main street for restaurants in Campeche. The views from the top of the hotel provide a lovely view across the town. It is stunning, the rooms are huge boasting two partner lay down couches in addition to a king size bed. The rooms are sparkling with excellent toiletries and generous shower and basin area. The staff are highly attentive, they are exceptionally helpful and assisted us by providing a hammock inside the room. The turn down service is highly personalised providing pastries in addition to water. The pool is a work of art one, it is a series of arches that one can swim through, some sheltered from the elements some not, but it is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. The restaurant is also excellent, very varied with local dishes from across the region and lovingly prepared with a view out onto the pool at night. The breakfasts are also excellent and definitely worth having. If I return to Campeche, would have no hesitation to stay here again.

This hotel is not actually a hacienda, but a nicely executed cloister within the walls of historic Campeche. It’s probably one of the 2-3 best hotels in Campeche—I would characterize it as a “four star” hotel. It has well-appointed old rooms with character, and quiet, picturesque gardens. The location is great, located at one end of the main restaurant corridor in the old town. The hotel has some parking out front. We did not try the hotel restaurant. The swimming pool is clever, but maybe too clever and hard to keep clean. Indeed, the pool is too popular with the local birds, and there’s a guano problem both in the pool and on the walls of the pool area. The pool area and its maintenance deserves a rethink, but if you’re not planning to swim, you are unlikely to be disappointed by this hotel.

We didn’t stay here but I really wish we did. Came here for dinner and had an amazing dinner that was not overpriced at all. The service was impeccable. Took a walk around the area and just reminded me of visiting Mexico as a kid with my parents before all major hotels took over these sweet magical spots. It’s truly special place for dinner and for a stay. Dreamy indoor and outdoor pool. Again, really regretted an Airbnb. Truly wish we would have give them out business.

Beautiful hotel. The pool is awesome and the food is a must. The rooms and beds really cozy. The attention of personnel not so good and if you’re in a hurry don’t ask for anything because service is slow in Campeche. Be aware that in Campeche there’s no Uber or Didi and taxis are very difficult to get.

This hotel is a magical, serene retreat. It is one of the most imaginative uses of recombined historic houses that I've ever seen. The pool meanders through old stone walls hung with vines. The rooms are ample, cool and quiet. There is a lovely restaurant with a patio on the garden where the staff was happy to patiently help with our struggling Spanish.

The hotel offers a unique experience as it allows you to immerse yourself in the colonial times and take in all of the history and culture of Downtown Campeche. Beyond its great location and the hotel architecture, I recommend as a place where you could to relax, recharge and take care of yourself. It's definitely not a place packed with activities or for going crazy and party. My family and I (a party of 4 adults) stayed at the hotel in December 2022 and we all enjoyed it; staff was very attentive, helpful and took care of our needs and gave us great local tips so that we could enjoy Campeche. The only thing I would warn visitors is the fact that rooms are best for 2 people or 3 tops; my family and I stayed in the same room but the staff had to rearrange the room to accommodate us all and it felt crowded; best to check with the hotel when booking for more than 2 people to see how it's best to accommodate you in there.

Truly a Beautiful spot. Right inside the old walled city, beside the main gate. Our room was the top of the line the “El Presidente” or something like that. We stayed for three nights. We never did find the fireplace that the website say is in the room. Hotel staff were very helpful, polite and respectful. Special thanks to J’esus ( apologies for spelling) The Hacienda is ideally located on the main tourist drag. Lots to explore. The hotel restaurant has great food and attentive staff. The vegetable ceviche was really good. The patio furniture needs replacement The pools though beautiful are not heated and quite chilly. Hard to understand at a Marriot Bonvoy LUXURY Edition having unheated pools. Perhaps they should market them as sparkling chilly cenotes for the overheated guest. One of the pools has a beautiful hammock that stretches over it. If you can tough out the chilly water to get to it, it is a magical spot for a siesta. Lots of world travellers to converse with and quiet nooks and crannies for private rendezvous. The city is olde. Late-at night if you listen closely you can here the clash of cutlasses the laughter and cursing of olde pyrates, fun loving seafarers and the echoing gait of a peg legged pirate ambling down the cobblestoned alleys. Look for the black one eyed ghost cat “ISREALHANDS” we calls him. He magically appears from time to time on the hotel grounds and the walls above the town’s portcullis. He does seem to purrfur the ******* sentry post atop the olde Castillo. You will know the one…it smells of brimestone. I calls it the Devil’s Sentry box. The Hacienda was pricey for us, but totally worth it. Would I stay again…well only if management tells me where the fireplace is in that beautiful room. Seriously we would love to stay again. The staff is so attentive. We thank them all for a wonderful visit We were there during a full moon. It really is a beautiful and romantic Hacienda. I think the Marriot has three more of these exclusive Haciendas in olde Mexico. They are on our “Lista de deseos” So…if you are ever in Olde Campeche on a magical moonlit night…we recommend following a one eyed black cat. You will be on your way to mystery, intrigue and romance❣️🐈‍⬛

We used Marriott points to book a suite, which turned out to be huge (Room 14, upstairs on the balcony). The staff treated us like royalty, with complimentary fruit basket, coffee in the morning, and turndown service. Ms. Andrea Haw at the front desk was particularly helpful and pleasant, and we also enjoyed chatting with the bartender. The hotel is at the end of Calle 59, a fun pedestrian street of bars, cafes and shops. Because of its somewhat secluded location along the wall around Centro Historico, getting a taxi was problematic on one day at lunch time, but no problem the following day around noon (Campeche doesn’t have Uber or Didi). Highly recommended.
