This is a typical motel, but it is worse than the surrounding ones. The only advantage is that there is the entrance of the trail behind, but the hotel group is close to each one. Anyway, I think there is a problem with Ctrip's 5-point rating, and I checked out early after I booked it for two days. Those who are accustomed to staying in a good-class hotel should use this as an intermediate stop for a day, as a resort is not suitable.

The Castle Inn was clean, modern, and conveniently located. My only issue was that I could hear my next door neighbors AND my upstairs neighbors every time they moved. Even with the thin walls I would stay again.

Right across the street from beach and boardwalk. I loved the hot tub. There is also a heated pool and a fire pit. Breakfast was just muffins and oatmeal, but for the price, it was fine.

Overall, the Castle Inn is a very basic hotel for Moonstone beach. It was comfortable and didn't have the musty ocean smell you sometimes get in properties like this at the beach. It was very basic but super clean and comfortable. They give you a small fridge for drinks and an alarm clock. Usually, the towels are flat and scratched at places like this. That was not the case. Everything was clearly new and clean. Will certainly stay again.

Great property with ocean views and beach walking across the street. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Beds are on the firmer side, and bathroom was a bit small. Plenty of chairs out front to view sunset, as well as firepit and heated pool/spa. Couple of restaurants/ wine tasting rooms within walking distance.

Excellent property. Extremely clean. The are does not offer much. It a community that rolls up their sidewalks at night. I will stay there again.

Adored this place. We arrived at night and only realized in the morning it was literally across the street from Moonstone Beach and the boardwalk. Pretty decor, nice sized room, refrigerator, coffee provided, continental breakfast provided. Took advantage of heated pool & hot tub. Just 10 minutes drive to Hearst Castle, 15 minutes from Elephant Seals Vista Point.

Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, perfect location. We were downstairs and the upstairs neighbors were a bit loud - so maybe next time opt for upstairs.

Easy check in. This place was right next to the beach. Clean and nice. Friendly staff. Warm pool, happy kids. Loved walking to the beach. Walls are thin, yikes. 😉 overall really great place!
