Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown

The room was nice and cozy with a modern vibe. Location was good too. Brian of frontdesk was helpful.

From the welcoming environment to the thoughtful amenities, my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown was nothing short of excellent. The staff went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, and the overall vibe of the hotel was both refreshing and relaxing. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality.

Location is pretty bad, homeless people everywhere on this corner of downtown. Costs an extra $37/day to park in the parkade or you can park across the street in a large open parking lot and risk a break-in. Gym is larger than most hotel gyms. Breakfast was pretty good but nothing too special. $25 for buffet or you can order from the menu. The type of hotel that wants to charge extra for everything. Wouldn't stay here again.

Our one-night stay was extremely disappointing. The room was not well maintained, and the towels did not appear clean. The pillowcases were stained, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room. In addition, no bathroom slippers or robes were provided. The room phone was also not functioning properly, making it difficult to contact hotel staff. We contacted room service to request slippers, and although our request was acknowledged, they were never delivered to the room. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and inadequate service made for a very unpleasant experience. We ended up moving to another hotel for the remaining of our stay.

The hotel is in a great location right in downtown. It is next to the Central Library and across from Superstore, with very convenient transportation. The price is also quite reasonable. When checking in, remember to ask the front desk for disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste. The swimming pool is quite small and there is no changing room, so it’s best to change into your swimsuit before going there.

Service was excellent, hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating if our requests and ensured that we were having ng a comfortable stay.
