Hotel Port Toga

This charming hotel sits perched on property that has vast views of the Mediterranean! Nice, clean rooms, with comfortable beds. The hotel has a delightful covered rooftop deck space to sit and relax and a rooftop pool. They also have a very nice breakfast buffet in a room on the rooftop; but, not included in room price.

Only spent one night at this hotel but have only great things to stay about it. Front desk staff was able to check us in a little early. The rooftop pool is clean and a nice to have on a hot day. Lots to do in walking distance, restaurants, shops, sight seeing etc. Rooms were clean and the hotel restaurant has friendly staff and well priced meals.

My partner and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights after spending the first part of our trip in the South of Corsica. The hotel is very reasonably priced and you get what you pay for, the room was adequate. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant or bar. The upstairs sundeck and pool are much smaller than they look in the pictures. Unfortunately we did have an issue with billing for the hotel... on check out we were charged for 2x lots of breakfast which we didn't have. The hotel does not provide an invoice or breakdown of your charges for your room so it is hard to know what we were being charged for and we had to manually calculate this ourselves. When we requested the refund we had to do quite a bit of 'convincing' that we did not have the breakfast, they don't seem to require guests to sign for receipts in the restaurant so this risks anyone being able to charge anything to a room or accidently saying the wrong room number. After they accepted we had not had breakfast the only person who could issue the refund was a manager, who was not present on our check out day. We spoke to two different receptionist staff, both who gave different descriptions of what we would need to do and who could authorise the refund, at this point we had no confidence we would get the money back. Thankfully the refund was completed online 2 days later but there was no correspondence or confirmation this was happening, I just saw the amount credited. Unfortunately the whole billing process and challenge with getting the refund did cause significant stress at the end of the holiday which was really disappointing. Based on this, I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The hotel is within 200 m of ferry arrivals, with both private parking and free parking lots across the street, extremely easy to find and reach. Excellent breakfast on the rooftop with view on the sea and port. Staff and room where flawless, thee hour delay of the ferry and late checkin after midnight were perfectly accomodated and extremely quick. Higly recommended.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is modern, clean and has large rooms with great bed and shower. There was also a mini bar. View from our room (we had no balcony) was not great. Personnel is friendly and we booked a parking spot in their garage located under the hotel. Was quite small and is only available for small cars. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel (next door) has good food. The hotel has a swimming pool on the top floor with nice view over the dock and sea. There is also a bar which opens at 3 p.m. breakfast is also on the top floor. Breakfast is not very special and quite expensive, only downside of the hotel in my opinion. Prices of the hotel are good! On 15 minute walk there are a lot of great restaurants (at the marina).

It was a very pleasant stay :) the room surpassed all our expectations, very spacious, tidy and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The pool at the rooftop was an incredible plus. Definitely recommend staying here.

Hard to believe it is only a three star hotel. Finest building in city? Nice pool even though it sometimes could be a bit warmer. Helpful staff incl borrow of a tool to fix suitcase. Really recommend this if going to Bastia

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the main ferry port in Bastia so is a great starting point for exploration of this wonderful island. There is an underground car park but with a very steep ramp and vicious bends, you need a steady hand and nerves of steel, to park there. Our Superior Room was of standard size with minimal storage space so clearly aimed at transient guests. Tea and coffee facilities were provided. Toilet was separate from the bathroom. Bathroom had that sheet of glass separating the walk-in shower, near the sink, which could be quite lethal to forgetful guests. We dined at Le Quotidien. The menu was reasonable and so was the wine list. Breakfast was in the room on the top floor and had a good selection of dishes, a good value at €12 per person. Overall, great place for an overnight stay and very reasonably priced.
