Hotel Ling Bao, Phantasialand Erlebnishotel

I decided to stay in this hotel since I wanted to stay in the park until its closure. I decided to stay in this particular one since it was Asia-themed. It was amazing, it really seemed to be in Asia. When I posted the pictures of it everybody kept asking if I were in Japan. Not only was the theming breathless from the outside, with its beautiful garden and the shape, but also the rooms had an Eastern vibe. What really stood out to me was that also the hotel room had details connected to the rides of the park (there was a fake newspaper with some news about one the themed areas of the park, Rookburgh). I have never seen and I will never see again something like this, such a good themed hotel. The staff was amazing, they will be in my heart forever, especially the man at the entrance of the garden, but also the receptionists and the people responsible for breakfast! The advantage that came with the hotel were: - a quick pass for one of those attractions (Colorado Adventure, Winja's Fear, Winja's Force, Chiapas, Talocan or Maus au Chocolat) - queues opening 15 minutes before the park opening One can leave all the luggages in the luggage room before the check-in at 3.30 pm. In the room you can find: - a bottle of sparkling water with a glass -a lot of sockets, also near the bed - wooden floor (amazing if you have got some allergy) - hairdryer - a large amount of towels, both for hands/face/shower and for the pool - a sofa - a desk with a large classy seat - double bed + two other beds with a lot of pillows, all very comfortable The bathroom was huge and with one of the largest and most beautiful showers I have ever seen. There was a dispenser for the hand soap and another dispenser in the shower that was for both body and hair. In the hall you can find a bar and also a billiard room. In the garden there are a lot of tables and chairs, a warm pool (that is both indoor and outdor) and a lot of beach loungers. The breakfast at their restaurant (Bamboo) was exceptional. A lot of gravoury food, but also sweet and above all Asian food, which I loved!

We stayed at the family room at Hotel Ling Bao. We arrived early and managed to get an earlier check in. The hotel is very traditional Chinese with a lot of nice perks (steam room, UV sauna, heated swimming pool). Breakfast is quite standard as we expected a lot more Asian food. Super convenient to stay here if you plan to visit the park. It’s literally in and out to the park from our hotel pool area.

Beautiful and beautifully situated hotel. We slept here on a weekday evening during the winter event. This made it quiet, except for a company event at breakfast. The room was perfect, bathroom well maintained. Breakfast was well taken care of, including a chef who prepared dishes on request. The only downside was that our table had already been cleared while we were still getting food.

The Ling Bao hotel provided a captivating experience that truly felt like a journey to China. The decor was enchantingly authentic and refreshing. I visited with my family to celebrate my nephew's 5th birthday. When we mentioned this at the Bamboo restaurant, the waitress went above and beyond by arranging a special table, adding birthday decorations, and even gifting him a souvenir glass. We were deeply touched by this gesture. The hotel staff was attentive and catered to our needs, although there was a subtle sense that they might not be entirely content. Nonetheless, their professionalism and kindness were commendable.

Very beautiful hotel in Phantasialand. The hotel has Asian based interior design. The lobby is impressive with big attention to the detail. The rooms are new or recently renovated, very beautiful inside. The bathroom is perfect. Everything is spotless clean. The bed is big and comfy. Our room can accommodate two adults and two children. The kids bunk bed is separated by a curtain. There is a complimentary bottle of sparkling water. We found the room comfortable and stylish. The check in was a bit slow but eventually everything was fine. The receptionist had everything prepared (park entry tickets, free fast track per person for one attraction, map of the park and a few good advices) and the process was efficient. The rooms were ready and after a quick preparation we went to the park. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

We generally liked the China themed hotel which is hopelessly overpriced but well located next to the amusement park. The website indicated that no pre-booking is needed for the restaurant for dinner and we ended up having to drive miles away to get food with an eight year old because they were supposedly booked out - with many empty tables visible inside and outside. This was a buffet style dinner, so easy to squeeze ppl in. The arrogance, rudeness and lack of helpfulness was outright shocking and ruined our day. So so so disappointing and upsetting to be told to read „the other fineprint“ by the restaurant manager.

Arriving in this hotel is like a dream. The lobby is gorgeous, high-ceilinged and huge. The staff are always lovely, friendly and can't do enough for you, including cleaning staff, one of whom accompanied me to the spa as I could not find it. This is not standard in Germany and their friendliness is very remarkable. The location is obviously amazing. It has its own entrance to the park (in the China area) and as hotel guests we got 8 skip the line passes which was nice! When we got to our room we promptly asked for another as this one was a small cell on the ground floor that smelt of cigarette smoke. Our next room was an upgrade. The room itself was a standard size but was extremely lacking in amenities. there was no kettle, no fridge, no balcony furniture, no chair for the desk and, most noteably, no safe. This was a problem because we did not feel we could leave our valuables in the room so we took them into the park with us. A 4 star hotel should have a safe, kettle and fridge so the rooms are not 4*. There were no miniatures in the bathroom (just dispensers) and the deco was quite minimalist. I was a little disappointed with the room which felt more 3*. Security itself was a problem. We arrived before check-in time and could store luggage but to our disappointment, it was just an open room to which everyone had access. There were no individual tags and luggage was not put in a safe office. This meant that we had to take our laptops into the park and leave our luggage in the car. I did not feel this was entirely secure. Breakfast was nice but the dining room was a little small. All in all I would go back but book a higher quality room and bring my own fridge and kettle (which I did this time too.) Security needs to be updated though.

This is probably the nicest hotel that is part of Phantasialand. The buildings, garden, restaurant and bar spaces are all very pleasant. The rooms seem to all be one double bed and one bunk bed, but the bunk beds are adult size so plenty of space for everyone. Rooms were recently refurbished and well appointed, although try to get one facing the gardens rather than the main road on the other side of the hotel. Breakfast in the mornings is a typical German buffet affair, with some slight Asian-style extras available. All plentiful and of a decent quality. We tried the buffet resaurant in this hotel and Hotel Matamba and both were good but not great. Fairly priced so no complaints overall. We particularly enjoyed the bar's extensive cocktail offerings which again were well priced. Access to the park is extremely convenient and you can come and go as you please, which is very welcome after getting wet on the water rides! Overall a great place to stay.

We stayed with our 2 kids age 6 & 11. The good: the pool was warm albeit small, the room layout was good but a bit small. The bad: they never sent us a link to book dinner and upon check in all reservations were taken. They admitted this was their error but frankly the reception staff didn’t care. We ordered off the room service menu. The food took 1.5 hours to arrive and when it did I was short one whole meal for one of the kids. No apology no offer to fix. The Ugly and just plain weird: room service takes cash only….no one tells you this. It’s fairly unexpected for a 4* hotel. Now I had very hungry kids and had to run down to the restaurant to pay for the room service. They brought up two big bottles of water and no glasses. We then ran over to the bar at 7:30 which was meant to be serving food until 8 only to be told no the kitchen had closed. It was just ridiculous so we we had to go out to find food for the kids. There is no conditioner in the room. 4* should get you conditioner but nope. One jug of all purpose wash. Back out to get conditioner to detailed my daughters long hair after having been in the pool. Given the state of the climate they should really invest in those metal plate covers. Our food came wrapped in a ton of aluminium foil. It’s just ridiculous to be that destructive to the environment. It didn’t come on a tray either so I had to take each plate out of the guys hands and bring it in the room. There’s no fridge in the room. Come prepared like you’re going to a 2/3 star and you’ll be fine.
