Amun Ini Beach Resort & Spa

I never take the time to review my stays. In this case I felt compelled a this has been maybe the best boutique resort that I have had. Just stay at this hotel and look no longer it’s worth every penny. Thank you very much to Amun Ini team for an unforgettable experience. Even if the weather did not allow for snorkeling the place is a piece of paradise.

Over prize and the resort is old, only the rooms must say ok, but this location is good for diving only, not for family vacation. no music no staff to attend after 8pm for the whole resort scary, we are the only customer on the date of our booking no staff at night, after dinner we closed our door and window and never go out.

Our trip in July 2024 was our second visit in Amun Ini. And we love it even better this time! The staff, the service, the food and the location are great! The rooms are well curated and perfect family rooms. The beach area is stunning and private (although some locals also swim in the beach but they don't seem to crowd out the place). Diving and snorkeling spots (there are always pawikans (sea turtles)) around the resort are quick and easy to access, so turnaround time is fast. The dive shop people are a gem! Although the drive from Panglao Airport to Amun Ini maybe long (2.5 hrs), but it is a beautiful coastal drive. Amun Ini is our happy place/resort in the Philippines (we also have one in Fiji). Ask the staff what you want, and they will make it happen. We will definitely come back (again).

We had a delightful stay for our scuba dive trip at Amun Ini. The resort was refreshingly clean and comfortable. All of the staff were so pleasant and helpful, they really went all out to make our stay as nice as possible. The food service was also outstanding. They offer a menu of options to choose from for each meal, and you can make special requests to customize it just the way you want it. The dive shop and scuba experience was outstanding. The dive sites are typically a 5-10 minute boat ride from the resort to the most vibrant walls and coral reefs, and delightfully weird creatures in the sandy areas. We can't wait to go back.

A place built and run with love and extraordinary hospitality. All staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Dive base is great; more than a dozen dive spots within 15 min by boat. Guides are excellent at spotting all sorts of marine life, and they offer up to five dive times a day. Great Spots to see turtles, seahorses, frog fish, many shrimps… Very good food, mix of Asian and Western dishes. Much better wine list than what you would get elsewhere locally. Thanks to all of the team for a wonderful experience.

Words cannot describe what an absolutely fantastic resort this is. The staff are absolutely first class both in the hotel/restaurant and the dive centre. They are super friendly and nothing is too much hassle. Make you feel really at home! Special shout out to Geoff in the restaurant and Lito and Vince at the dive centre. Our kids did their PADI open water and my wife and I did 11 dives. Incredible service and the dive sites were stunning - on one dive we saw 31 turtles! Very quiet and all super well organised. Rooms really nice with stunning views, great pool and great massages, for very reasonable price, in the spa. Beach is very private and beautiful. Great selection of food and drinks in the restaurant and assigned own table so no need to panic about what time to go for meals. Small resort so guests very friendly and feels very personable. All restaurant and dive staff immediately all knew our names. I’m fortunate to have travelled extensively over my lifetime and this has to be one, if not the, best place we have ever been! Couldn’t recommend more and we will definably be back! Thank you to everyone for making it such an amazing stay!

Just spent a week at Amun Ini diving and it was fantastic! Beautiful reef and wall on all dive sites with incredible dive guides showing all the critters, couldn't be happier. Every dive was phenomenal, we saw turtles every dive, sea horses, frogfish, cuttlefish and on and on and on. The night dives were the highlight for me, I dove every night possible and it was exceptional. As for the resort, the staff were incredible, the rooms and open air restaurant were comfortable and clean and overall, couldn't be happier. We spent two weeks total, one week at Salaya Beach Houses and another week here at Amun Ini and would highly recommend this combo. Bigs is a great host and resource for booking. Jeffry and team in the restaurant are absolutely incredible and Jossie, Lito, JJ, Reggie, Leo and the entire dive team were absolutely awesome. Thanks for a great week and can't wait to return!!!
