Al Salam Hotel

We stayed for a week as a family. They don't have quadruple rooms, so they accommodated us with two double rooms across from each other. We found the rooms to be spotlessly clean, with a daily refill of toiletries and complimentary bottled water. The sea view is amplified by the large glass windows (my children's room even had two). The staff was extremely professional and exceptionally kind, making our stay extremely comfortable. The Kuwaiti owner himself (not part of any international chain) kindly offered us a tour of his farm in the north, near the Iraqi border. We visited the herd of cows, goats, and camels (we drank their milk) and spent a relaxing afternoon. We also enjoyed the ground-floor pool (I also tried the one on the 15th floor, reserved for women only, but it costs extra and is very expensive). The only slightly less positive note concerns breakfast: everything is very good, it is Kuwaiti style and offers various savory dishes (almost no sweet options) but if you stay there for more than 2-3 days you feel a bit lacking in variety... Thanks to the Manager who made us feel truly at ease.

We stayed two days, waiting to go to Oman. The hall is small but nice. There is a bar that also has an outside area, in a small garden. The room is simple, clean and new, with a comfortable bed and pillows. There is also a kitchenette that we did not use. New and clean bathroom. Complete courtesy set with soaps, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, body cream. The staff is really very kind. On the first floor there is the breakfast room with typical Kuwaiti dishes. However, there is also fruit, jam, butter and toast. Eggs and omelettes on request. There is also a small swimming pool on the ground floor. Good value for money
