I chose this hotel as it was close to the business I was meeting with, but the next time I'd rather use public transport. This place was dirty, loud (next to the railway, with trains from 5am to 11pm), dark and expensive, even per Dublin standards. The website mentioned a restaurant, but it was closed. Absolutely sub-par experience, avoid at all cost!

Do not book this hotel it’s disgusting service. Stayed a few year ago and was lovely. I book in February for April for two nights. I phoned up in February to book an extra night. When we arrive the door had to be opened for us, it seemed very quiet, was asked for payment straight away, to then be told there was no bar or restaurant available. When we went out that night we had to ring the bell to get in. I couldn’t believe it as I was on a family reunion trip and was going to have my family as guests. We were given a room in the basement with a view of a wall and a train passing every 20 min. Very bad service and no apologies and no management to speak to. I sent an email to Laura the Manager and got no response. We returned to London and still no response until I phone the Hotel. I booked through *********** and phoned them to complain still waiting for response from Hotel. The room was not up to standard and the fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. My partner is a fire officer and said it wouldn’t pass health and safety. I should have been told when I called to book the extra night that there was no service available because I would have booked somewhere else. It was a bank holiday weekend and I couldn’t book anywhere else all booked up. When I spoke to Laura she told me it’s been closed for refurbishment since last June. I asked why they are still advising a great bar and restaurant and she said there’s a problem with the website and couldn’t change it. Don’t book this hotel

Never wrote a review before…felt I had to in this case. Just finished a two night stay. The place was warm at least….but the concrete wall 8 feet away from my window with trains screeching past was a new experience. All this could have been forgiven but for the fact that this currently is not a hotel in any real sense. It’s a room only type hostel. Bit tatty and tomb like underground/downstairs rooms. I travelled 8 hours and arrived at 9.30 pm to find that there is no restaurant or bar…they are closed!! out into the night then to try and find something to eat….then in the morning no breakfast. So in the wet I set out to find a coffee and scrambled eggs. Thankfully I found a great place 15 mins drive away. Feel conned…would never stay here again.

I stayed for work. As I checked in I asked if my room was quiet and was reassured that the 'Trains stop at 11pm', what they didn't tell me was that they start again at 03:45. My room was about 10ft away from the railway line. It was very warm and no air conditioning. I couldn't open the window as I was on the ground floor looking out onto a concrete wall with beer kegs stacked outside. Along the wall ran motion sensor floodlights which came on periodically throughout the night . I wish I could give a good review, but I left the hotel exhausted.

Where do I start, it was nothing short of appalling. All the facilities are closed including the restaurant and bar. Holes in the walls of the room, tv didn’t work. Room literally backed on to a train track. Coffee making facilities but no milk or spoons. Dirty carpets throughout. I wouldn’t mind if it was cheap but it’s far from it. Awful to see a business like that in such disarray, but very misleading based on information found on website and ***********. I’d seriously avoid at all costs.

We had a horrific experience in room 1204, the room was damp and there was excrement on the sheets and inside the duvet even though the bed was made up and looked ok from outside. We came home late and slept in that bed not realising it until the next morning. When i complained to the manager she said she had checked that room before we checked. Initially we were to check in to room 1207 but when i opened the door it was not cleaned so they moved us to 1204. I am still waiting for a refund despite numerous emails and phone calls. The staff were terrible to deal with. I have received no apology or compensation for the experience. Also note there was no bar or restaurant facilities even though the hotel website advertises it.

This was a disappointing stay. The rooms are comfortable but need maintenance. Broken glass top, stains dripping from ceiling hatch, broken coffee machine fridge not working. The rooms are at basement level just below the fairly busy railway line. The only ventilation is via the windows so they have to left open. The restaurant is shut so no breakfast and no opportunity to enjoy the canal side setting. No good if you cannot manage steps up from car park and then back down to the room. Coffee and tea but no milk provided in the room and one very small and one large cup - not ideal for two people! Good points comfortable bed and close to station along the unlit towpath.

Arrived to discover all facilities are shut/closed down - genuinely it looks like the place has closed down with no intention of opening up - rooms are in the basement - nice view of brick wall and beer barrels. Room smells like someone’s sat in there smoking, beds are terribly uncomfortable, TV barely works, kettle on desperate need of replacement. Reasonably clean. This is not a boutique hotel, it has no charm and is very very overpriced for what it is. Lady on reception doing best job she can but you can tell she’s fed up of the complaints! Had to ask for water as none provided in room. Was also told to use their sister restaurant browns - which we walked to in the rain to also discover it’s gone cash only which is exceptionally inconvenient when travelling for work!

Myself and a friend went to stay here with work. Advertised was a lovely hotel with lovely outside seating and dining area! When we arrived we were told the kitchen was closed no breakfast no dinner and not even a bottle of water to be gotten !! The floor was stained and the door of the “hotel” room was battered, the fridge was disgustingly dirty, poo stains on the carpet and the train went by our window every five mins which shook the hole room! When we went to reception to complain the staff were nothing short of ignorant, and the manager or so she seemed, didn’t seem to care less about our issues. The “hotel” itself was absolutley filthy, zero standard and to top it off our room was in a basement! I could go on and on ! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
