Found this gem kinda by mistake searching for a nice place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary with our 2 dogs for 3 nights. Now I want to go every weekend! Cabin 94, our 1 bedroom cabin, had EVERYTHING you could possible want. Basically a full kitchen, fully stocked (nice size frig, microwave, coffee maker, hot plate, pots, pans, plates, silverware, cups, bowls, everything!) Very spacious! Large living room, big king bed, great bathroom. Tucked away in the woods, quiet and peaceful. Lots of room to roam around the property and the hiking trails with the dogs. I could go on and on. Priced as well as most dog friendly establishments we've ever been to and offers so much more! Ok, I wish the TV had been a little bigger, but come on, you shouldn't be there to watch TV, right? :) So glad I found you Point Lookout! Thanks for a GREAT weekend !

Desk representative extremely unfriendly upon arrival - obvious she did not want to be there. While they advertise 5 miles of trails, they are very poorly maintained and the markings are faded to where an average hiker would get lost - not a biggie when conveyed to the representative upon checkout who blamed it on the recent rains. The property is a shell of its former self which is disclosed in it advertising. if you have been when it was in its heyday, don't go back. From a positive, the cabin was fine.

I pride myself on finding accommodations appropriate for the occasion. While searching for a place to meet friends for a couple nights in the area, I discovered Point Lookout. Online, the two bedroom cabins looked ideal for two couples and the price and reservation and cancellation policies were fair. In person, all four of us were delighted and completely satisfied. Everything was clean, thoughtfully updated and provisioned. Furnishings were all comfortable and well arranged. The bedrooms with their en suite bathrooms gave everyone privacy, as needed. The open kitchen/dining/living room plus the screen porch gave us ample gathering space. We found the property to be very quiet overnight, notwithstanding its proximity to the main road. Two nearby restaurants we all enjoyed were Rio's Spiked Café and The Hoot. The cabin kitchen was nicely outfitted too, so keeping food cold or heating up dishes was an easy option. All contact with the management was warm and helpful. It's a pleasure to recommend Point Lookout for a woodsy getaway in complete comfort.

We loved the cabins and the rustic feel. Situated between Belfast and Camden with much to see and do. The people at the front office were awesome. The main office/workout rooms were beautiful and second to none. However, our only dislike was the wet-dog smell in our cabin stemming from the area rug. We thought the only change the owners could and should make would be to have non-pet cabins set aside like most places do for those of us who do not own pets. Don't get us wrong-we love animals, but not that nasty smell in our sitting area and bed. Other than that issue, which we did report, we found this to be five-star place to stay in Northport!!!

Yes, some lucky family bought the Point in Point Lookout, but the new Point Lookout cabin keepers are doing a great job with the remaining 39 cabins. Super clean, comfortably appointed and close to everything you’d want to see on the mid coast. And at a terrific price point for families. I should mention that they’re dog-friendly and had dog bowls in the corner of the kitchen for your furry family members. So if you don’t like dogs, well, you’ve been warned. If you were wondering how to take your dog on vacation with you - this is it.

We love staying here- the cabins are very clean and really roomy, with well appointed kitchens and cozy seating around the gas wood stove. The beds are comfortable, the shower head we had was awesome, and the towels are super thick and soft. Great getaway with friends.

My wife and I stayed at Point Lookout in mid-October 2022 and loved it!! Everything from booking, check-in and the cabin was perfect. And the location was ideal, within a short drive from the Bangor Airport and to pretty much any destination along the coast of Maine. I highly recommend anyone consider Point Lookout as an option for lodging.
