The hotel staff were amazing! The house keeper working late night on Saturday the 16th of November was way beyond expectation. I asked for her name from the reception staff and was told that her name was Joe (乔). I want to thank her again in here. She helped us so much with the laundry even though it was self-service. She was very helpful and welcoming. Please pass on the commendation to Joe. She even gave us some laundry detergent balls even though we had bought some detergent already! And she even helped with drying even though I wanted to do that by myself since it was self-service and it was not her job, also very late at night as well. The other hotel staff were also very welcoming even though they didn't speak much English. They tried to help with everything using translating websites.
The only downside is that the room we got really had bad connections. We cannot use our own internet package due to poor connection and the hotel wi-fi (Chinese's wi-fi) does not work with non-Chinese applications like Line, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, or whatever other applications tourists tend to use. Nevertheless, we thought of it as a social media detox and the overall experience was worth the money. You get what you pay kinda deal. The location is also amazing. The hotel provides shuttle bus service to Universal Studio Beijing as well.
