The Pagoda Light Hotel

Xidan and Financial Street Area
I really enjoyed my two stays here. Staff are very nice - particularly the manager when I was ill and had to do a late checkout, thank you! The beds are clean and comfortable. Location is good as it’s very close to a Line 2 station. Love the aesthetic of the hostel too and the cafe. I just had two problems: 1. I wish there was more separation between the bathrooms and the cafe/the door to the hotel. When you go there you’re visible to the cafe and to the street as the bathrooms are right next to the entrance, so if it’s early and you’re in your pyjamas it’s a bit weird! Also there is no lock to the showers - just a door and then curtains to the cubicles which I didn’t love as anyone from the cafe could just come in if they wanted. 2. I had thought the room was very clean as my bed was - but on my second stay I noticed that there was a lot of black mould growing on the wall behind the bed. This grossed me out a bit and obviously it’s not good to breathe in!

I have stayed in many B&Bs, but I was surprised to encounter Lianlian Siheyuan this time. The B&B is located in a very distinctive Beijing Hutong, and the atmosphere is very good. The environment is simple and comfortable, making people feel very considerate. There is also a quiet leisure area on the rooftop where people can relax and unwind. At the same time, the service of the B&B is also worth mentioning. From check-in to departure, the staff showed extremely high professionalism and thoughtful and enthusiastic service attitude, which made me feel the B&B's respect and care for every guest. Of course, there are some small details that deserve praise in this stay. For example, the environment around the B&B is very clean and tidy, without any clutter; the staff will proactively ask guests about their needs and provide timely help; the snacks in the public cafe are also very considerate, all of which make this stay more pleasant and comfortable. . This Lianlian Siheyuan has a very good environment, complete facilities, considerate service and attention to details. The day and night I spent here became one of the best memories of my trip. I highly recommend everyone to come and experience this B&B. I believe you will fall in love with it as much as I do!
Beijing Yueming Yuanxing Blank Tower View Hotel (Xidan Financial Street)

In order to experience old Beijing, I specially took my children to live in the courtyard. In addition to the small room of the courtyard itself, the cockroach can be designed into the form of an upper and lower attic, and it is slightly inconvenient to take things. The rest are very good, the bed is very comfortable, there is a skylight, and you can see the dead branches of the sky agent roof as soon as you open your eyes in the morning. The room is clean, intelligently controlled to the light, and 4 bottles of water are provided for free every day. There is also a makeup mirror, which is more convenient for makeup every day. In short, it can be seen that it is carefully arranged.

There is a small yard, especially beautiful, sitting in the yard all the time in the past few days! The traffic is very convenient, it is the bus stop, and it is close to the subway station! It is close to Baita Temple and Lu Xun Museum! Uncle and big brother at the front desk are also very good! Answers, haha! The only downside is that the soundproofing is a little worse and the room is a bit small! However, the size of the gold in the second ring of Beijing can be understood! I will stay in the next time I have the opportunity to go to Beijing again!
HefengJingli Siheyuan Hotel (Xidan Financial Street Branch)

I’m a solo business traveler from Hong Kong. I booked this for its traditional building structure (四合院). My room got upgraded, and it was a very nice and spacious room. It has a tablet or Siri-like control for room amenities like for switching lights, air conditioning and alarm. The shower is hot and the shampoo etc provided smells good. Dyson hairdryer. Bath robes and slippers are provided. Bottled water is provided for free, there’s also red wine in the room that I didn’t consume but I suspect it’s also free. The toilet is Japanese style. The room is very clean except the coffee table has a corner that seems not probably wiped but I think it’s minor and probably just overlooked. The breakfast is a set (ie not buffet style), and the “congee” is very nice. But the thing that prompts me writing this review is the staff - I travel a lot and the staff here is among the best service/ most friendly/ helpful I have ever experienced. If you want to try staying in a traditional Beijing house/ Chinese style breakfast yet still want the modern amenities, this is for you. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Beijing. Thank you very much to the team - I really had a great stay! (Btw around the corner of the street there’s a very nice fried nuts shop!)
The Apartments on Financial Street

This serviced apartment was very close to where I needed to be for meetings, so it was extremely convenient. However, the furnishings are old and outdated, but the apartment was relatively clean. I like having a little kitchen and washing machine for a week's stay. The staff was helpful, although food deliveries were a bit inconvenient, since the property requires guests to go to B1 to collect deliveries. If you like a cold room, the air conditioner worked great, and the room is very quiet at night. I would stay again.
