I booked two rooms for three nights. The room I was assigned at the beginning was next to the roadside. After staying for one night, it was too noisy. The motorcycles, tuk-tuk horns and the sound of the engine on the roadside. I couldn't bear it anymore, so I told the hotel that they would give me another room, and the hotel moved one to me! The sanitation is very good and the decoration is very new. It is a bit far to walk to Khao San Road, which takes 15-20 minutes. We took the children and the elderly to take tuk-tuks to Khao San Road and the Grand Palace! The Tuk-Tuk bus is a bit expensive, but the restaurant provided by the hotel is also good, good quality and cheap! If you must stay in the same room type, remember to book the more expensive one. The more expensive one faces inward and is not noisy. It is perfect.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Siam for 4 nights in early May 2022. Quarantine-free travel had just lifted so we were lucky to have almost the entire hotel to ourselves for a few days.. Our stay was amazing. The service was impeccable, our private butler (Tong) helped us out with all of our bookings and arrangements and was a great source of recommendations on top of the Bangkok guide provided by the hotel which was very helpful as well. We met the general manager, Nick, who was very accommodating and regularly checked in to make sure our stay was 100%. The hotel room we had was spacious and well decorated with a comfy kingsize bed. The interior of the hotel is like a combination of a palace meets museum, with antique art from around the world in every room and hallway. We found the library was a great place to do some quiet work (unfortunately that was required), and we made use of the private hotel boat to get anywhere on the river, such a fun (and quick!) way to get around Bangkok and avoid the sometimes busy traffic. The restaurant was also great - what better way to start the day than having breakfast overlooking the river. Would also recommend the Spa downstairs, a very relaxing way to recover from busy Bangkok, as well as making use of the “screening room” which is a small private cinema you can book whilst ordering from the room-service menu. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok, absolutely worth it and 10/10 recommended.

The boss is really nice and warm-hearted. The environment is relatively new and very clean. There are only rooms for six people at most. It is very comfortable to drink, eat, and smoke in the small courtyard. There are some twists and turns in the middle, but the boss is still very good at handling things. If you choose to stay in a youth hostel on Khao San Road, it is still the first choice.

Breakfast tastes average, there are 3 stir-fried dishes, and a miso soup, fried rice, Indian pancakes, bread, fried eggs, rice noodle soup, etc. There are many types, you can eat well without problems. The room is a bit old, but the hygiene is very clean. The downstairs is a clothing wholesale market. You can only buy underwear, underwear, socks, etc. The clothes are really not going to go down. There is a fruit wholesale market across the river. It is cheap, not bargaining, and has legs. If you are a bad old lady, you ca n’t pick and say no fruit. If you do n’t buy it, you will be beaten. Be careful, what you see is what you buy. There are a lot of snacks around the hotel, most of them are stalls in the morning or at night, there is a stir-fry in the evening, the taste is good, the price is reasonable, everyone can try it. The front right of the hotel is the pier. You can take a boat to Pratunam Market and Big C, and go to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The boat is quite big, it is too old. It is not recommended to bring children. Let ’s take a taxi !! There are also buses on the Khao San Road from the airport to the hotel. S1 can also be rented. The 120 high-speed toll plus 250 rental fee plus 50 tip. Remember to take the taxi to open the navigation so that it can be fast and cheap.

Very gracious staff, patient and tolerant even when I mistakenly booked the wrong date and appeared a day too soon. They adjusted and did so with a smile. Good location for important temples, and good food. Sam Yot MRT nearby. Stayed for four nights. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room was clean, quiet, and properly equipped. The rain shower was large and water pressure good. I would not hesitate to recommend this heritage hotel to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

I originally booked for 2 nights, now been here 5, never want to leave, and have eaten some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life... breakfasts are 3 courses, different every day, and more like lunch or dinner. Ung is an amazing cook, and her and her husband Tak are lovely hosts. Yesterday's green curry with chicken & baby aubergines was better than the one in the Netflix streetfood doc, her barbecued pork melts in the mouth and is better than the juiciest bacon you've ever eaten, her Tom yum koong delicious, and how she can make a prawn omelette so fluffy and taste so wonderful is beyond me. And that was only 2 days of food (not to mention the desserts). The place itself is beautiful, calm, spotless - an old Thai wooden house, 2 stories, painted cream and green, with dark, polished wooden floors, full of interesting objects and beautiful old sepia photographs. My room has a little balcony with climbing pink jasmine and more that looks into the quiet alley and at night it smells heavenly. There's a fridge in the hallway with an endless supply of water in glass bottles, saving on money AND plastic. The courtyard is a little green paradise and I can hear at least 3 different kinds of birds and a gecko as I write this over the Tom yum koong. WiFi is fast, I have AC, an electric shower, the room is cute, big, though I know some of the others are quite small. I could quite happily live here for the rest of my life. The area is peaceful and safe. It's a five minute walk from Thewes Pier and a short ferry ride to both sky train and metro, a 10 minute bus ride from chatuchak market, 15 min walk from Khao San road (go once for a look, don't go back), and if you like a longer walk like me, to burn off the breakfast, the royal palace and Chinatown are about 45 mins to an hour on foot. There's a local market close by, at least three 7-11s within spitting distance, a local restaurant round the corner which is not bad but not up to Ung's standards, and at night a long chain of food stands along the canal that I've yet to try. If you're looking for party central this may not be your best choice but please don't look it over for the sake of a flat screen TV you can watch from bed. You could not regret coming here. And if you did, I'd say there was something not quite right about you. I love this place. Thank you Ung and Tak for making me so welcome.

We chose this hotel as it has triple room and is a heritage boutique hotel in the old town district. It is also reasonably priced. It is indeed a cosy heritage building with nice hardwood flooring in the room. The room is simple, clean and spacious for three, all TV channels seem to be in Thai. There are little nice details like folding the towels into cute elephants and provision of tea and coffee in the dining area all- day. What’s impressive with the hotel is its warm hospitality especially displayed by Sherry who has taken time to explain about the house and also to recommend us a nice half day tour which we didn’t think of at first. She also arranged to pack breakfast for us, and the morning staff was thoughtful to ensure we are safely onboard the tour van. I would recommend this hotel especially for visits to historic spots like the palace and also to the trendy Kaoshan Road area. There is also a pier nearby for easy access by boat transport.

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting Bangkok before touring the rest of Thailand. Room was very inexpensive, and nothing fancy, but perfect for what we really needed! Staff were very helpful and spoke good enough English to get by. Laundry service was inexpensive and the restaurant on the first floor was very convenient and delicious! A new small but beautiful hotel. The soft furnishings and atmosphere are in place. Breakfast is when you check in. You can choose your favorite set meal and approximate meal time, and the kitchen will prepare it in advance. The deposit is in cash or passport. Overall, the experience is very good, different from the crowded feeling of resort hotels or traditional group hotels. This time I didn't bring children, if I bring children, it should not be suitable.

I can't believe I forgot to leave a message for this place. We stayed here for 3 days as early as 2007. At the time, it was run by the government. It is in a place where tourists rarely go, right in the city center, after coming out of the hotel gate, you can go directly to sois (back street alleys) to experience the life of the locals. You can try to taste local food on the side of the main street or at the locals' homes. The leisure court walk, 10 minutes after the bus stop, is Thewet ”station”. Here you can take you to all the main tourist attractions in the city. Tricycles will be soon to the flea market. The design and decoration of the hotel are quite good, basically built using the surrounding recycled items (if I remember correctly, the original building is now also owned by the hotel). Don't be surprised to sleep in a second-hand bed or use a partition wall. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. A very beautiful map of the city centre hangs on the wall of the reception! Their cafe/restaurant offers really healthy vegetarian food. Despite having been two years, I can't forget their juices and drinks. My only complaint, a bit silly, is that this place is not allowed to smoke. As an old smoker, I have to walk out of the hotel every time to suck two. As I said, it is stupid, so it can't be used as a disadvantage at all. As a Thai friend said, the name of the hotel means “lie down, rest”. This is what you can really enjoy, or more.

My partner and I stayed here in January. It was our first accommodation in Thailand and we enjoyed it. Our room was basic and I felt like it would of been cheaper however all the facilities were in working order. Checkin was simple, quick and easy. Interesting colour choices in our premium room. Breakfast wasn’t included but we had breakfast at the guesthouse everyday without fail! I would recommend a breakfast smoothie too! Very tasty! There is a temple literally a two minute walk away which is well worth a visit!
