This is truly what luxury is - for someone who stayed in many hotels across Bangkok for example JW Marriot, Waldorf Astoria, St Regis and even Siam kempinski I tell you this is hands down top notch - true Thai hospitality and they are very accommodating. I was blown away by the service - I stayed in the Athenee Suite - and you get exclusive VIP treatment and check in on the 26th Floor - those who want comfort and real Thai grace and service this hotel is for you

#Negative review#For the cleanliness of the toilet, the room decoration is disappointing; I live in a room on the fifth floor, my room has no windows, the lighting is very bad, I found cockroaches in the room and ran under my bed. It was really uncomfortable to think about it. I complained to the hotel when I checked out. This problem

The service during our stay was not as expected and not worth its high cost. We left a note which asking for another body lotion due to dry weather, nothing supplement the next day. When check out, reception desk even showed an incorrect room bill. How could this happen to a high quality service hotel! BTW, meals and service in each restaurant are really perfect!

We were in Bangkok specifically for the Coldplay concert. Hence we decided that this trip was going to be a relaxing one. We arrived 2 days early as we wanted to experience the overnight train (private cabin) from Haytai to Bangkok. Train arrived Bangkok early. We took the BTS to Samphan Taksin and thenafter walked (5mins) to Sathorn and waited for the Sheraton water taxi. It was 10+ am and to our surprise, our room was ready and we were checked in. It was such a relief as our journey started 7am the previous day and we also needed to get our luggage settled as such that we could explore lunch. Much to our absolute exhiliration, view from our room (2415) was exactly what we requested (and more!). Room and bathrom was nice and spacious. Royal Orchid Sheraton is absolutely well located by the Chao Praya, accessible to Icon Siam and BTS via boat (Sathorn) and is complimentary, at 30mins intervals. Boat ride takes a lunch break for an hour at 12pm. Royal Orchid Sheraton is also within walking distance to buses if you choose to explore other local transportation modes (which we excitedly did!) and shops. Staff are all very welcoming. We managed a nice swim. There are two pools, adult pool has view of the Chao Praya. Further down is the kids pool which is a bit more discreet. Sundecks at both pools were full of guests sunbathing taking advantage of the beautiful sun. There is also a sauna however you will need to inform staff about 10mins prior, as it is not always on. Only thing that was a small challenge is the absence of platform for ease of pulling of luggages over the stairs, for guests who arrive and exit via boat. This would also make Royal Orchid Sheraton more disable friendly too. If you arrive via boat, enter via the Siam Yacht Club entrance to reception. We couldnt find any clear signage and ended up following the crowd as they entered through the restaurant's peak breakfast crowd, trying to navigate our way with our luggages. We went with an open heart and was absolutely happy with our stay. Khàawp-khun mâak team Royal Orchid Sheraton for the smiles in our hearts during our stay! 🫰

I love the place which is pretty new and located in strategic area of George Town. You can take a walk to many attractions nearby. The hotel is very clean, decorate in concept of modern Penang's heritage. They offer you a complimentary drinks, inside the room they provide a coffee machine in every room typeSuper valuable and a great choice of stay in Penang.
