The 5-star experience commenced with a well-appointed and serene room, offering a spacious environment that was both restful and relaxing. The array of amenities provided by the resort was truly remarkable. The attention to detail was evident in every facet, from the well-maintained grounds to the thoughtfully curated in-room features. The seamless blend of modern comfort and traditional aesthetics added a unique charm to the overall ambiance. One aspect that stood out remarkably was the staff’s kindness and attentiveness. Their commitment to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was palpable, and it greatly contributed to the overall positive experience. Their impeccable service went beyond expectations, creating an atmosphere of genuine warmth. A highlight of the stay was the unexpected delight of encountering monkeys on the resort’s grounds. This added an element of natural wonder to the experience and provided a unique connection to the destination’s surroundings. The resort’s strategic location on Monkey Forest Road proved to be an ideal base for exploration. Immediate access to the vibrant Ubud market and the rich cultural activities of Ubud palace added convenience and enriched the overall stay. In conclusion, Komaneka at Monkey Forest offers a harmonious blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. It is literally located in the center of Ubud. This is the best location for those traveling without a motorcycle. The room is spacious and clean, and cleaning and bedding are provided daily. Commercially available disposable shampoo and bottled water were also provided. The breakfast is simple, but clean and delicious. A la carte breakfast was provided with fresh fruits purchased early in the morning every day. Nevertheless, the price is so cheap that it cannot be compared to similar accommodations nearby. For long-term stays, you can receive a further discount by contacting us directly. The young staff are friendly and do their best to help and provide what you need. Even late into the evening after work is over, he responds to customers when they need them and helps them like a friend. The first floor is a superior room, and the second floor is a deluxe room. I highly recommend the deluxe room.

Wonderful monthly stay at Dewangga Ubud. Have to say here the rooms are nice and a wonderful natural environment surrounding you from all sides. The Hotel is on the main city centre routes which makes walking to restaurants, central market, ATM and mini markets a breeze. Great central location. Quiet and peaceful environment but right off main streets. Staff is outgoing , kind and energetic young staff that honour all of your needs & requests for you. Due to covid restrictions *at present the restaurant is closed but they bring breakfast to your room and the spa is closed at present during my stay. Can’t say enough about the GM here as she is great and outgoing for all your needs. Super stay and highly recommend for beauty and nature right in the middle of the city centre and close to all amenities that one could ask for. I could not ask for more in a hotel with such surroundings and great location for exploring the city. 👍

If you are particular about cleanliness or have any respiratory issues, this probably may not be a good option. When we checked in, we were greeted by an aircon that was very noisy, like hard knocking from inside. On getting closer, we were quite disgusted to see the amount that dirt inside. Can’t help but wonder when it was last cleaned. When we reported this to the lady at the recept, she said there’s nothing she can do, got to wait till the next day. Disappointingly, we went back and turn it down to low fan (it was left at high when we checked in), the sound went away, but when we went back the next day, the aircon still look as dirty. The best sheets and pillow cases were also stained and very thin. The earliest you can breakfast is 8am. We had a tour at 830am and our breakfast was only served at 820, so we had to wolf down our breakfast in order to be on time for our tour. The next day, we went outside to look for breakfast as we were afraid we will be late for our tour. The good part is that the location was good, and the breakfast was decent and they had a water dispenser behind the recept that you can help yourself to. We did not get to check out the swimming pool though the recept told us that it was open till 9pm.

Little cute place in a peaceful courtyard. You’ll have lunch in the middle of their beautiful garden far away from the noise of the street. Food is delicious! The Soto ayam (soup) was really tasty and rich. Nasi campur is composed of different local delights and all of them were great. And the Kwetiau goreng, finally great noodles with veggies, smooth sauce and a nicely cooked egg on top. Good prices and nice staff. Super recommended

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.
